NFBC Stats Draft Room

Just wondering what is the best browser to use when in the Stats draft room. i.e. Explorer, Safari etc. Anyone experiencing any problems while using a specific browser? Just trying t figure out which one is the most stable while drafting. Thanks in advance!!

I tried it on both safari and ie and it seemed about the same. Whatever you use, the 'draft player' button at the top of the page doesn't work very well and you could find yourself pressing it 8 times before it will take the player. Press the 'draft player' button under the que. That only takes a few seconds to work.

The draft player button does have a lag, if you press it once it will eventually take the player but it can take 7 seconds or so. I've done three drafts on Firefox without incident.

Personally, I think they could make it a bit better; but the good news, Geoff is on top of any issues.

No matter what you use, make sure you don't take your eyes off of the screen until you see the player you pick show up. I hit the draft player button and then looked at my draft sheets and when I looked back up, a different player was selected.

Which reminds me, there should be a way to stop the draft other than typing in a the chat window.

There is a "help" button at the bottom to get the commish. The lack of "sound" is a "BIG" problem for me. I would like to be able to study my sheets while getting ready for the next pick versus having to watch the clock.

Thanks all. Another question? LOL The flash draft page or the HTML page for a draft? Any preferences or problems? Thanks again.

I don't think you can see what other owners are online in the HTML version, and overall it looks more intuitive to me. That's my own preference though.

This is exactly right and the system is taking your player after you hit Draft, but there can be a time lag depending on when you've hit the Draft button. Hitting it 7 or 8 times won't change anything. It's already been made in the system and there could be a few seconds delay before it displays. Not always, but at times it does that.

We'll tighten all of this up going forward and hopefully add sound for football when it's your pick, but for now put up with some of these inconveniences. The room is working well and hopefully the HTML and Flash options work well for you.

Good ad vice on waiting for the draft player button, but you won't have to wait as long if you just press the button under the queue instead.

Do not use the html! Flash is the way to go. I used html and it was so bad I couldn't even post picks on the que. Learn from my pain. Use flash!

Thanks Greg, I was going to bring the sound issue up. There should be a sound button available and if people don't want it they can just mute it.

Also, I was having a lot of problems with the draft button as were a lot of other drafters this past Wed. night, and this was on fast hotel connection in Vegas in the flash draft room. Anything that can be done about this for next year?
