Fickle Wins - Time to Cry!

Post by Edwards Kings » Wed Apr 06, 2011 4:29 am

I have had some pitchers get blown up in the early going and I can deal with that. But it always frustrates me when I do get good performances with no reasonable percentage of Wins. In six of the nine games my guys have started so far this year, they have generated 39.0 IP with a collective ERA of a flat 3.000, a WHIP of 1.051 with 36 K's and a 3.6:1 K/BB ratio. Out of all that, usually pitching into the 7th inning, good K's, good control, and I have only got ONE win. ARRRRGGGGG!

I hope the Fantasy God of Averages (no, not Shandler) evens it up soon!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

1 win is infinitely better than the 0 that my guys have so far
