NFBBC Update- Lou Nemphos leads overall in tight race over Wong and Kandel

Post by Sebadiah23 » Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:51 am

Ross Kandel and RotoEvil.com's Eric Wong X 2 are fierce on his tail going into the final 5 days. Good luck to the finalists.

Eric Wong's "Bol Tending" however leads him by one point (76-75) in his individual league.

Here is Lou's lineup for this last complete week. For the final two games next week, contestants have one last time for FAAB and lineup changes.

G- Dwayne Wade, Steve Nash, Raymond Felton, Jerryd Bayless

F- Dorell Wright, Sergei Ibaka, Thaddeous Young, Shawn Marion

C- Al Jefferson, Al Horford

U- Jordan Farmar, Jared Dudley

Bench - Francisco Garcia, Ryan Anderson, C.J. Miles, Luc Mbah a Moute

A few key categories have swung between the top competitors, with league points and overall points hanging in the balance.

However, the unique part of this year's Overall race is that it is ALL-OR-NOTHING, while second place in league still earns $1900.

Lou plays Ryan Anderson over Ibaka and so far its paying dividends. Two days to go in the contest.

Wow, all of the players sitting, or almost sitting and actually playing. This was a crazy night.

Apparently this was the first night since 1956 when that EVERY NBA team played on the same night. And back then, there were only 8 teams, not 30.

Tomorrow morning we'll see who won the NFBBC overall, the Online Championship, were Eric Wong was leading X 2, and in the inaugural Super League.

I don't play NFBBC, but don't they have their own Message Board.

I have a feeling you posting the standings is because you want everyone to see your name on the leader board. Just an FYI Craig, I am an expert in psychology :D :D :D

I've asked our tech guys to see if they can retrieve it and hopefully they can but for now you can see all of the prize winners for this year's basketball leagues using the link below. The prizes are unofficial until we confirm everything with Fanball.

[/QUOTE]I'm trying to promote NFBBC as a great contest, because, simply, it is. It has strategy elements very similar to NFBC in many ways.

Secondly, I didn't mention earlier that I met Lou when I was in pee-wee wrestling when I was six (1983). His dad managed my brother's little league team, we went to grade school together, we played fantasy baseball together in 80's as kids, baseball card shows, and went on Stadium trips together in other cities.

Lou's dad scouted out hotels that visiting AL teams used when they played at old Memorial Stadium in Baltimore (as part of his job was a lot of travelling), and through that I got to meet the Red Sox, Brewers, and Royals teams of the late 80's as a 12- year old and get balls signed, including Roger, Wade, Molitor, Yount, and super Royal Steve Jeltz while staying at the hotels and go to the games to watch the Orioles get wrecked. Those were great memories.

So you almost had it pegged about why I am excited over Lou's victory. Except for absolutely everything.

I'm just busting, I don't care. Point is, NFBBC is a great contest, and like Tom said, the NFBBC messageboard disappeared, so this was the place to mentioned it.

Can teams that placed in the money expect some information in the next few days explaining how/when they will get paid by fanball?
Do good.

I'll post something here when I do and I would anticipate Fanball contacting everyone by email to let them know the process as well.
