So I went Holliday/Youkilis to try and build my BA and get some solid counting stats. Wanted to focus on BA and guys who should play 280-290 games without much question. Both guys are fast starters with career averages over .300 in April. Say what you want but I'd rather start hot it makes other decisions easier, you don't feel like every move is a make or break decision.

Well, before Youk raised his avg. today with a big day (1-4) he was hitting an even .100 with one rbi. As someone on these boards put it "the only thing Youk has done this year is get x amount of games closer to 3B eligibility". Classic!

So somehow my team is still hitting .280 and I've got solid counting stats. I know its early but I'm pleased with the offense despite my first 2 picks that I thought would be consistent and safe.

I'm happy with my team just 10 days in and I'm glad that I've avoided big injuries. Just love how all the best laid plans turn to mush when the ump yells "Play Ball!".

Yep.

The truth is that unless you have someone that has been seriously injured, pretty much nothing that happened so far makes any difference (at least not more than a 4% difference).
