As promised we'll have a chat today. We haven't had one since prior to the big event so now that we're heading into the first week of games this seems like a good time to see what you guys feel like chatting about. So hit me up with questions, comments, whatever and we'll have some fun.

Hey Tom,

While we were waiting for the lineups to get posted, the final stats from 2004 for all of the leagues were available(auction and draft). Now it doesn't look as if we can get to those. Can Stats make historical stats for the leagues available or will we only be able to access the overall ratings from 2004? Or, am I missing the link somewhere?

George, STATS is working on getting that info available. Keep checking and it should be available soon.

Thanks, what are the thoughts of setting up something like a NFBC Hall of Fame? Like records for the most points in BA, HR, etc... Most importantly, something that shows overall cumulative rankings for each year of playing (I really want to impress everyone with my 186 out of 195 finish from last year )

I think that's something we could look at for the future. I know we want to keep our historical data available and I agree that if we have a lot of folks who stay in our event for a number of years it'd be interesting to see how they are doing.

I think for you guys it would be a greating marketing tool. It would serve to keep people coming back from year to year. But for all of the players, it is even more important... Sort of like the World Series of Poker and ESPN, once poker got some representation the players were taken a lot more seriously and better recognition for their efforts came available. I'll admit that I really play for fun, but getting some money back and a little recognition is always nice.

I'll let Gekko explain where he's ranked in the Lifetime Standings, but it's definitely in the top half from 2004. As for the NFFC, he currently ranks No. 1!

George I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but this was an answer to a similar question today that STATS provided:

If you click on "player stats" the page defaults to 2004 overall stats for all players. You can use the drop-down to select stats from any week of 2004, 2003 overall, 2002 overall, 2001 overall or 3-year average stats.

I'm glad to see there are no questions about the FAAB process or the need to receive usernames and passwords. It looks like we have the leagues squared away and all of our members in the game sites. Contact Tom if you still need help with any of that and we'll have a live chat again on Thursday and Friday just in case anyone has some pressing questions or concerns.

Greg/Tom - Since you both are watching.. I just wanted to personally thank both of you for working so hard to put on such a great event. Having played with your (former) competetor (WCOFB) in 2003... I can honestly say that the NFBC is far and away the better product. You guys have done a great job.

Things have been a bit rough these past few days but come 6 days from now no one will really care.

This seems to be the year of the systems as far as drafting goes.

Actually, Greg, the stats I am looking for are the league rankings and their respective scoring in each category from last year. I meant to copy all of them to do a little statistical research, but I got wrapped up in other things (pampering the wife, catching up on Law & Order reruns, remembering that I actually have a job after two months of preparation for this season) that I didn't get them before STATS took them off the website. Was Tom right that STATS would be placing these somewhere on the website?

Thanks for the efforts! Thanks Jason. The multi-city format is not an easy task to pull off, but I think everyone worked hard to make each draft a success. We know what we could do in an ideal world to make the events even better, but all of that will come in time. Trust me, there are a lot of outside companies who are watching this area of the market and looking to get involved with us and the future is much brighter than the present, I know that. We have worked hard to create the best high-stakes baseball event (okay, the only one now) and we feel that there's room for us to grow in football and possibly even expand in other sports. I like what I see in my crystal ball and one day we'll all laugh about stickers and slow draft facilitators!

George Okay, let me look into that one. I'm pretty sure they are still accessible, but let me ask the guys at STATS and get back to you.

If you get a chance can you let STATS know that when you select "E-Mail owners" under the "League Info" drop down that an error message is generated and the action is not allowed. Thanks guys!

Will your programmers use manager's season averages, so as to keep us newcomers interested and more importantly rated against our peers. Using cumulative stats (ie over 2 years) will not achieve this.

George Here's STATS' quick response:

Login, click on "overall" standings (make sure not to click on league standings). There is a link there to switch to 2004.

I already have the overall stats from 2004, which is probably the most important anyway. Now all I need is the data from each individual league, both drafts and auctions. If you can help me, that would be great. If not, I'll just make sure I copy them next year before they are taken down.
