none of the asterisks which i expect are included in this post are from design. they all come from the nfbc message board which some fucking commentators expressed surprise about containing pc dialog but which fail to acknowledge that fucking ******* pc bullshit censorship reigns on the board already as it always has. ... george carlin approves of this message ...

Brian Matusz is from the same city in which I reside.

If someone were to call him 'Brian the Mayan' in the context of trying to be humorous, I asked myself, would I correct the author?

Would I be offended?

The answer would be no. So it is laid to rest in my mind.

I do a lot of stupid things during the day. By the way, my grandkids cannot say the word 'stupid'. They're taught it isn't a good word.

BALDERDASH!

It's a great word.

Sometimes, it is the perfect word!

Anyways, when I do something stupid, I don't want to be called cranially challenged, I wanna be called stupid.

"Stupid is, as stupid does".

When we watch a cartoon and see someone slip on a banana peel , are we to hold in our laughter depending on race of the person who slipped?

Where does it all end?

Do we call an 'airhead', 'reality impaired'?

When a wife nags a husband, do we call her orally repetitive or a nag?

As you can tell, political correctness, to me, is....well, stupid.

It is just a large part of the wussification of America. But, that will be a post for the non/baseball subject line at a later time.

I don't care where Kuo is from, as much as most folks do not care where Matusz is from.

Matusz has stifled many fantasy owners teams with the length of his injury. For that, he'll be criticized, and maybe be the butt of a few jokes, in my mind, too bad for Matusz

Kuo went on the dl with 'anxiety disorder' the day after his Manager declared that he would not be afraid to pitch him two days in a row.

He's already been the butt of jokes.

To me, they both slipped on the proverbial banana peel and the chuckles derived from either players flaws will not be held back no matter where they are from.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Oh, I think I'm gonna just let the rest of you bemoan "Today's" state of affairs. As for me, I'm just looking for a new team name and 'The Status Kuo' suits me just fine. Thanks for bringing this subject up Dan. :D
