Are Minor, Jennings and Snider still "on deck"?

Post by Rainiers » Tue May 17, 2011 11:35 pm

Are they still on deck, or have Minor, Jennings and/or Snider been relegated to "in-the-hole" status for a call-up to the bigs by their respective organizations?

Recent roster moves have me wondering.

First it was Teheran being called up over Minor for a spot start 10 days ago. Then Brandon Guyer gets called up as an extra bat instead of Desmond Jennings. Then Teheran gets recalled-up when Beachy goes down. And yesterday, Thames makes the trip from AAA to the big-league dugout for a short stint while Lind recovers--not Snider.

Has Teheran bypassed Minor?

Has Guyer leap-frogged Jennings?

Will Thames stick in the bigs before Snider?

All three of the newly-called-up players have been doing quite well of late in the minors, arguably better than their better-known counterparts.

A lot of NFBC-ers, including myself, are holding Jennings, Snider, and/or Minor on our reserve bench with the prevailing wisdom that it is only a matter of time before they get the call. Is it really realistic that it will happen soon? Might it not happen until September? Or possibly not at all in 2011?

Thoughts?
