June 2 $125 Second Chance League Draft Order

Post by KJ Duke » Thu May 26, 2011 1:50 pm

Albert Pujols is currently the 42nd ranked hitter on my YTD numbers. Hanley is 84th.

These guys won't go 3rd rd and 6th rd respectively as their YTD value dictates ... any predictions on how high they'll go?

Hanley might make it to me at 12, but I doubt it. You've done one of these before haven't ya, what was the pattern in the past? Ride the hot hand (like your boy Asdrubel) or stick w/ the perennial stud (Hanley).

I think some will have a hard time passing on some of the brand names b/c they'll be available later than in the past, creating a "value" that just may be fools gold.

June 2 $125 Second Chance League Draft Order

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Jun 02, 2011 3:11 am

Okay, is everyone ready for this draft tonight? I'll be your host tonight and I hope we have some fun. Let's make sure everyone is in the draft room on time and ready to go. The player default pool is the same as it was at the beginning of the season, so have your own lists ready or know how to Search for players. NOTHING is the same today as it was back in March!! :D

It will be fun to see who these 15 owners think will be the top players of the next four months. Remember, nothing that has happened during the first two months will factor into these league standings. It's just what happens from this point on.

Also a reminder that this league officially starts on Monday. We'll have rosters loaded as soon as this league is completed, but stats won't start accumulating until Monday's games. Set your starting lineup for Week 1 of this league by Monday. Thanks and good luck all.

If you have any problems getting into the draft room tonight, contact me at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553. Thanks all.

Thanks That one isn't going to fill. We have this one in June and we'll add a few more in early July and then during the All-Star break again. Let's have fun tonight and see where the interest lies next month. I'm excited about tonight's draft and I look forward to who you guys pick early on.

[/QUOTE]Sounds good! If there is another League that will start around July 1st (aka Half Way Point) in the $250 Range I am in!

My teams too are all in the cellar and I might need something to look forward too!

Time for that last minute cramming Ahhhh, it's good to be in a draft room again. I'm there waiting for the rest of you folks. Let's get it on while drinking a few beers and watching Game 2 of the NBA Finals. I love Draft Day!! :D

NFFC drafts should start in another week too. And with any luck, we'll get an NFL labor agreement by month's end. Let's hope that this week's talks were the start of something positive in football. That would be fantastic.

June 2 $125 Second Chance League Draft Order

Post by rockitsauce » Thu Jun 02, 2011 8:13 pm

this draft was alot of fun. I had never done a mid-season draft before so had no idea what to expect

I had 12th pk, was hoping for Kemp, but realistically thought I'd be choosing b/w Cano, Reyes, ARod, or Ellsbury. To my surprise Longoria was still there, so I grabbed an elite 3B. I could try an Edward Kings type draft diary, but please ;) there's only 1 King!

Instead I will post my team (w/ rd taken in parentheses).

team rockit :

C - Nap (10) Yorvit (28)

1B - Gaby (5)

2B - Beckham (14)

3B - Longo (1)

SS - Reyes (2)

MI - F. Sanchez (22)

CI - Callaspo (16)

U - Chipper (19)

OF - Pence (4) Rajai (7) CQ (8) Logan (9) C. Patterson (18)

SP - Lester (3) Anderson (12) Lilly (13) Matusz (15) Kuroda (17) Zambrano (20) D. Lowe (24) Hammel (25) Pineiro (27) Vargas (29)

RP - Wilson (6) League (11) Padilla (21)

Reserve - Infante (23) DeJesus (26) Byrd (30)

Here are some other pks that some might find interesting:

Stanton (2) Asdrubel (3) Pineda (4) Hosmer (6) Aybar (7) Ethier (7) Mauer (8) Anibal (9) Jeter (12) EY jr (14) Colon (17) Hafner (23) Humber (23) Arrieta (25)

Somewhat different than Mid March :D

When did Joe Mauer go? Seems like he is only a few weeks away from being back and totally healthy. Could have a very nice 2nd half...
