If You Need Last Minute FAAB Help

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Apr 03, 2005 9:59 am

If anyone needs last minute help with FAAB, please e-mail the guys at STATS at [email protected]. I'm now in the office at 715-445-4612, ext. 284 or you can e-mail me at [email protected] if you need anything. Remember that the FAAB deadline is 7 p.m. EST today and that within the hour of that deadline we'll announce the winning bids for each league. You'll see those winning bids in your league area.

Good luck everyone.

Nope. Just hang tight and within the hour after the deadline (likely sooner) STATS will update all of the winning bids. Trust me, you're not alone in needing a few free agents right now!!! The bidding should be interesting this first week.

Hi, tried calling and but you may have steped away:

Do we have any type of DL? It looks like on the FAAB bid system we can send someone injured to the DL. Is this the case? This is super important because I have several DL players and would like to not have to drop people

Regards,

Spy

Regards,

Spy I just called you back. No, there are no DLs in the NFBC. Every NFBC team has a 7-man reserve, which includes spots for injured players, players sent to the minor leagues and just MLB reserves. I'm not sure why STATS has that function, but it won't work to stash disabled players on it. Each league has 450 players on teams and that includes injured players.

I just talked to STATS about that and they update all of their free agent lists after teams officially file their 25-man rosters with Major League Baseball. I know that the Royals announced yesterday that Brown had made the team and they announced all of their cuts to the press, but for whatever reason STATS didn't get the official list in time for today's 6 p.m. EST FAAB deadline. This happened last year too as some teams file them quicker than others. STATS also gets them from MLB for some teams quicker than others. We both understood that Brown was going to be a starter on Opening Day, but unfortunately they never were able to get the official roster from MLB and thus didn't have him in their data base as a member of the Royals' 25-man roster.

Rather than just insert him by hand, he will be added to next week's free agent list for all 20 NFBC leagues. I know it's not a great answer, but it's the honest one.
