Switching Pitchers Midweek Question..

Brandon Beachy pitched Wednesday and then gets removed from line-up and put in Phillip Humber for a Sunday start, when Humber started the week on the Bench. I know Beachy was on the DL going into the week, but he pitched Wednesday and got the stats and know Beachy is on the bench for Fri-Sun and Humber is in the starting line-up..Am I missing something, I thought you can't move pitchers on Fridays unless they were on the DL.. I know you can start pitchers on the DL in the week to insert a favorable match-up with another pitcher on Fri-Sun, but to get the stats on Wed and still be able to switch to another P on Friday when Beachy is no longer on the DL... No sour grapes, just don't understand the switch.... thanks for you help...

I have not read the message boards in weeks when I posted this. No idea another thread was also created about this move..Just seems wrong to have this kind of move allowed...
