Hey Guys
Anyone familiar with this area? Going with girl friend on Thursday for a long week end. She wants to take a ferry to Martha's vineyard. Was curious to know what beaches bars and food places were in this area. Looks like it is near Narraganset Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Marty

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Marty Doing great, bro, though if you felt a disturbance in the Force a day or so ago it was because my daughter finally got her drivers license. If you are traveling through the northern Atlanta burbs, be afraid...be very afraid!

Marty I would suggest going to the Newport, RI area. It is a tourist area with nice beaches. Eddie Gillis lives the next town over from N. Kingston in Jamestown. Jamestown is quiet are, but it is island connected by bridges on your way to Newport. He would know the area better than I.

where are u staying? the ferry leaves from Quonset (North Kingston) which is in between the Narragasett and Newport areas. There are great places to go all over the area. If you go to Narragansett , go to Narragansett beach. The Coast guard House is a restaurant/ bar just down the road from the beach with a huge deck overlooking the ocean. Its the best place to be.

Marty,
You should try Water's Edge Restaurant & Bar in Greenville, RI. It might be a bit away from where you are, but an excellent place!

Good for you, not good for anyone in any of Vinnie's team leagues. Already known for 2nd half surges, Vinnie's Team will surely be a force down the stretch.
In the winter I play Old Man Hoops with your Red Sox ticket partner, Clancy. Small world!
