Delgado came up to the majors this week and pitched and then was sent down to the minors. He is not in the free agent pool right now because he is in the minors and was never drafted in my league.

This is probably unusual but here's my question. I assume he entered the free agent pool at some time this week and then was deleted. If someone bid on him (during the short time) when he was in the free agent pool would that bid be valid or would it be deleted when he was sent to the minors.

Probably not important because Delgado may not pitch in the majors next week but still curious.

Good question. No way a bid should be allowed if he isn't listed at the Sunday morning deadline.

The "whenever the IT guys get off the crapper and decide to remove the player from the FA pool" deadline seems to be fitting here. It has been a great addition to the DL tag rule. Makes perfect sense to me. Fair to everyone as well.
