Each week, we'll showcase some of the top FAAB pickups in each league so that everyone can stay up to speed with some of the new acquisitions. Here's the going rate in each NFBC league for the most sought-after free agents:

Chicago League 1: Uncommon Men had the high bid, paying $229 for Jeff DaVanon. Uncommon Men also paid $86 for Jorge Cantu, while Mr RippA'z Zimnox paid $76 for Adrian Gonzalez and Lake Shore Drive paid $66 for Scott Linebrink. Other high bids were Royal Pain paying $48 for Jason Phillips; Lake Shore Drive paying $44 for Gary Matthews Jr. and Diamond Dogs paying $40 for Rob Bell.

Chicago League 2: Edwards Kings paid $201 for Willy Taveras for the week’s high bid. Cheap Seat Chuggers paid $85 for Joe Randa, while Lucky 13 paid $76 for Julian Tavarez and BuckeyeBo paid $66 for Xavier Nady. Other high bids were MALLOY'S TRUTH SEEKERS paying $60 for Adrian Gonzalez; Lucky 13 paying $52 for Jeff DaVanon and Cheap Seat Chuggers paying $44 for Royce Clayton.

Chicago League 3: ROCKIN RED ROOSTERS paid $114 for Xavier Nady for this league’s high bid. Acme Dos paid $87 for Ruben Gotay while ROCKIN RED ROOSTERS paid $86 for Gabe Gross. Other high bids were Acme Dos paying $71 for Omar Infante and $55 for Mike MacDougal; FLINTSTONE PUGS paying $55 for Reed Johnson; WHEELERS DEALERS paying $50 for Byung-Hyun Kim and THE ROID LESS TRAVELED paying $41 for Luke Scott.

Chicago League 4: Omega's Pancakes n Fries paid $351 for Jeff DaVanon for the high bid. Razor Shines Last Fan paid $177 for Derrick Turnbow while The Wood Shed paid $118 for Calvin Pickering and $78 apiece for Luke Scott and J.T. Snow. Other high bids were Razor Shines Last Fan paying $57 for Julian Tavarez and Keeneland paying $54 for Gary Matthews Jr.

Las Vegas League 1: 25 Giant Nuts had the high bid, paying $41 for Jeff DaVanon.

Las Vegas League 2: FJ Fantasy Sports paid $93 for Jorge Cantu for the high bid. Other high bids were Team Kraus paying $50 for David Dellucci and Diamond King paying $50 for Daniel Cabrera.

Las Vegas League 3: Team Bonaminio had the high bid, paying $155 for Ryan Drese. Diamond Dancers paid $150 for Willy Taveras while Eaton Coco Crisp paid $145 for Jeff DaVanon and $115 for Jason Bartlett. Other high bids were Insulater XXXIX paying $110 for Gustavo Chacin and $104 for Adrian Gonzalez; RoundTrippers paying $99 for Calvin Pickering; Team Bonaminio paying $85 for Scott Elarton and 21 rippers paying $52 for Craig Counsell.

Las Vegas League 4: Balco Bartokomous paid $81 for Adrian Gonzalez and RotoSpin.com paid $81 for Brandon Lyon for the high bids. Another high bid was Dirty Old Gym Shoes paying $43 for Jesus Colome.

Las Vegas League 5: Pedro and Man paid $118 for Ruben Gotay for the week’s high bid. SHOWTIMERS T B S paid $111 for David Newhan while Pedro and Man paid $72 for Xavier Nady and LB - Nookie Monsters paid $71 for Byung-Hyun Kim. Other high bids were Ambrosious's Mustache paying $42 for Derrick Turnbow and SHOWTIMERS T B S paying $40 for Mike Matheny.

Las Vegas League 6: Team Longood paid $156 for Ryan Church for this week’s high bid. Team Longood also paid $145 for Derrick Turnbow while Sunshine Boys paid $101 for Doug Mientkiewicz. Other high bids were Team Longood paying $53 for Scott Dohmann and $50 for Ryan Speier; Piggy paying $45 for Gil Meche; Zefurs paying $43 for Xavier Nady and Team Cameron paying $43 for Daniel Cabrera.

Las Vegas League 7: Mudcats had the high bid, paying $416 for Juan Rivera. Other high bids were Mudcats paying $402 for Luke Scott; Biffs FusterClucks paying $140 for Daniel Cabrera; pollypurebreadissweet paying $85 for Scott Dohmann and Big Alameda Machine paying $62 for Derrick Turnbow.

Las Vegas League 8: FSTOCKS paid $215 for Brandon Lyon for the high bid. FSTOCKS also paid $115 for Daniel Cabrera and Derrick Turnbow and $90 for Scott Linebrink. Las Vegas League 9: The Dawggs had the high bid, paying $172 for Jeff DaVanon. Other high bids were The Vegas Bandits paying $55 for David Dellucci; Down with Pot paying $45 for Gary Matthews Jr.; Bayes / Rackliffe paying $43 for Gabe Gross and The Vegas Bandits paying $42 for Alex Gonzalez.

New York League 1: THIRSTY THIRD PLATOON paid $111 for Luke Scott and Ryan Church for this week’s high bids. Kings of Swing paid $56 for Adrian Gonzalez while Goodfellas paid $51 apiece for Ruben Gotay and Daniel Cabrera and THIRSTY THIRD PLATOON paid $51 each for Paul Wilson, Joe Kennedy and Kirk Rueter.
