Payments From Fantasy Sports Insurance Due Soon

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Oct 31, 2011 9:12 am

I talked with Henry from Fantasy Sports Insurance last week and he said NFBC checks should be going out in the next week to two weeks. He has turned in his claims last week and now payments will be approved and sent out. Thanks for your patience all.

FSI is making this a quick process, but unfortunately they can't keep up with the mighty STATS accounting department!!! :D We had those winning checks out BEFORE the World Series started. ;)

By the way, we will likely do this plan again next year, so if you want free insurance on one player feel free to make your payments via check or money order. More details to come soon, but we're game for this process as long as Fantasy Sports Insurance is game. Stay tuned.

I know a few of you beat this idea up. Hopefully you have been won over to the dark side. I have hit on insurance policies both years and Henry is the kind of guy who you email at 7pm and by 8pm he has answered you.

I encourage everyone to take advantage of this in 2012.

Greg, is there a list of what players qualified to be paid for by insurance?

And like Kent said, this is a nice free service that costs you nothing just for paying via check or money order. Unfortunately, sometimes we suffer injuries to our top stars and this allows you to get 25% of your entry fee back if that insured player goes on the DL for 60 or more games. We pay it. Everyone wins...except for the credit card companies and their high fees!!! :D

Hanley Ramirez

Joe Mauer

Josh Johnson

Ryan Zimmerman

Shin-Soo Choo

NFBC owners who designated these players and insured them after paying via check/money order/cash will be reimbursed in the next week or two. Look for those payments soon. It's small consolation for the pain you had to put up with because of their injury-riddled seasons.

Why not David Wright?

Per the transaction page here (http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/transaction ... -york-mets), he was on the DL from May 18 to July 23, which is more than 60 days.
