The draft spots for our final NFBC Mid-Season League have been drawn. We have combined three nights of $100 entries into one league and we have changed the starting time for this one. This league will be held on Monday, July 11th starting at 7:30 p.m. EST and it will be a winner-take-all league for a free 2006 NFBC entry. Once again, this will be a 30-round online draft and you do not have to fill your 23 starting spots with your first 23 picks.
STATS will e-mail everyone individually to make sure they know how to load the Java Applet Software and pre-rank their rosters. Your new team will show up under My Teams and more information will follow soon.
Good luck everyone and thanks for being flexible with your schedules. This should be a fun, fun league. May the best owner win.

Draft Spots For $100 Monday Mid-Season League
Here's one more rules clarification for the Mid-Season Leagues that everyone should be aware of. In the NFBC's main event, we allowed you to draft any player from any team, even if they weren't on the 40-man roster. However, in the mid-season league, only players that are in the data base are eligible to be drafted. The list we have are current lists of MLB teams' 40-man roster and some teams actually have less than 40 men on those rosters. You can not draft a Class A guy and ask someone to write in that pick. If he's not in the data base for whatever reason, he can't be picked in the Mid-Season League.
I know that there are some young prospects you'd like to draft and store away until the September callups, but if they're not in the data base then they can't be drafted. Sorry, but we are officially licensed with the MLB and through STATS and only players on 40-man rosters at this time are in the data base and thus eligible to be drafted in this mid-season league.

Gerry Scotto di Marco has replaced Rich Chinnici in this draft. Sorry Rich that we couldn't get a league that fit your time schedule. Good luck Gerry and thanks for being on standby.
