Perhaps with seniority comes strong opinions? I was registered user #17 for the NFBC boards. Of the handful of players (not counting the admin users) who can claim they've been here longer by signing up hours or minutes faster than me, only Dyv remains fairly active on the boards - and he took a year or two off. A guy named "Gordon Gekko" also had seniority over me, but he retired and passed the torch to "Gordon Gekko II" who is waaayyyyy down the list. :D

You have weirdness to you...and a balloonish ego.

But I'll just step out of your weird limelight and weird world...and just let it go.

You go on changing the world in your own mind!

Keep on being KJ Duke...the weirdo!

What's cooking in that pot belly of yours, anyway!???

If that's the way you see it Lance, I can't argue with your perception. It is what it is.

Do you think there's any truth to the saying that people tend to suspect in others what they are trying to hide about themselves? I wonder, because for weeks your posts have been wreaking of all sorts of accusations, and this last one seems to be the icing on the cake. But that's just my perception. ;)

KJ and Lance are competitive fantasy players who go a long ways back and have a good argument now and then even at the live events. I'm sure KJ will buy Lance a drink in Vegas (although one won't be enough for Lance) and they'll still agree to disagree. :D It's all good and I enjoy the differing opinions.

Besides, who can argue with Lance this baseball season? His team has been Top 20 all year. ;)

I'm sorry if this was answered already, but here it goes-

Why not just eliminate the DL rule and double the scoring periods from 26 to 52?

Period 1 Mon - Thurs

Period 2 Fri - Sunday

and on and so forth...

FAAB stays unchanged.

No extra work for folks as they have to check to see if they have players on the DL come Thursday anyway.

If you double the scoring periods, it will have a huge effect on the pitching strategy in that people will try very hard to compile starts. Wins/Strikeouts would increase at the possible expense of the Decimal Cats. Reserve lists would have alot more arms stashed.

This will help the diehards that will stay ahead of the curve. However, this will hurt the "NEW" blood that the NFBC is always trying to market their games towards. Newbies will see 6+ months of research and twice a week moves as tenuous and not worth the effort.

Because as a participant, I'd prefer the NFBC to grow, I want those newbies to play as well and I agree with the previous NFBC stance against 2x a week moves. Therefore, to add in a second scoring wouldn't fly in my opinion. It would change the way the game is played. Fresh blood may try the game, but my money sez they wouldn't come back.

Good question.
