Wow, I love McCutchen but he is shooting up into the fourth round. I think BJ has to go ahead of him. I'm not afraid of last year's .241 average. I think the shoulder injury had more to do with that. He hit .300 and .273 the two previous years and he has 20-40 potential. He's still just 25 and is a true five-category talent.

No, Justin looks like a monster compared to BJ. He looks so mature at the plate and he's just 22. This kid is going to be a first round pick soon.
If McCuthchen has a grrrrreat spring, is there any reason not to believe that he will be next to Ellsbury, etc in the 2nd round?
Dan, that stuttering stuff was a cheap way to get three more posts on your total!!! :D You're trying to build up your stats, right?

Doesn't matter how great of a spring he has, he shouldn't go ahead of Ellsbury. That speed is proven. But maybe next year.....

Hi Greg,

I think you may have missed my question so I'll post again:

A great add on to the current Free Agent system would be having the ability to export the free agent list into excel. We've asked for this the past few years. The STATS system was top notch in the industry with all the add ons and tweaks you helped to implement. Can we please add this one? It would help out a lot for the folks with multiple teams. I don't think I'm alone when I say that the only reason I don't add a team or two more is that Sundays have become insane. Anything to help Sunday out is a welcome addition. Thank you in advance

Jason I stand corrected. Ryan just told me THIS IS DONE!! It will be ready for the first FAAB period. AWESOME!! They took this idea from you guys and already implemented it. Now you have more time on Sunday to play more NFBC leagues!!!
While you are taking requests.... One change I would like to see is the ability to have a conditional bid in a higher dollar amount than your primary bid. If I want Zobrist more than Aardsma, but I think that Aardsma will cost more, I should be able to place a lower primary bid on Zobrist and a higher conditional bid on Aardsma. I think this would be a significant addition. I see no reason why your first pick has to be the highest bid amount.

I also agree. And I actually wrote Greg about this last year. That would be a great feature if it could get done.

Hey Champ:

I think CATCH feels left out that he didn't have a chance to sit next to you last season! However, I'm sure he is still gunning for the Forestdale Flash in regard to seating arrangements.

I guess I'm upset with anyone who didn't give Ryan a second chance after he tried to show everyone how excited he was about this space. Some of you were mighty tough on him and that's okay if you feel you know the guy from a first impression. But hopefully in Las Vegas you'll be able to sit with Ryan and me and have a beer and give him a second chance. He's done a lot of good for the NFBC behind the scenes and very few people even realize that. Those are the thorns that hurt me as much as anything else. You underestimate us, Greg

I am the one that led the revolt against Ryan's first posts. Even you and he would have to admit that they didn't come off particularly well. After reading them, I was convinced the 'E' stood for Exclusive.

Since then, Ryan and I have exchanged PM's and our previous posts have become a thing of the past.

Everything has a purpose. In a way, I am glad things unfolded as they did. Everything was said and done over a short period of time and re-thinking was done by everyone involved.

Then, as in now, the 'E' stands for Enthused.

With nicknames being replaced by shortened names such as ARod, Ryan should be pleased that we refer to him as 'E'.

Anyway, second chances, second schmantzes. Ryan is part of the family.

Thanks guys -- I appreciate the kind words.

As Greg tells me daily, we have a great group of guys who love this space.

I think the addition of Geoff Stein was just the beginning.

We are all fired up and excited.

Signups are coming in at a blistering pace (and it's Saturday) and I'm excited about what we have in store.

BTW -- wait until you guys see the new drafting interface. It is very slick.

Exciting stuff and as my good friend Doughboys said - It is water under the bridge.

I'm as fired up as all of you and I can't even play! DAMN!!!!

The draft interface was being tested on Thursday and we had hoped to unveil the software first thing this coming week. Myself and Geoff will be in St. Louis starting Tuesday to give everything a test ride. I think NFBC folks will see this and help us test this in the next few days. VERY EXCITING.

Greg,

My number one question in November remains my number one question in early February, what is the timeframe on when we can test out the FAAB system we will be using for this season?

We are only 8 weeks away and a demo FAAB site would likely calm a lot of fears out there and enable skeptical owners to sign up for more leagues (given that the FAAB interface works fine).

Thanks. Trust me, it was my number one question in November too. But it's not anymore. I've been assured this is going to be better than what we had before and Ryan has seen it and said it's awesome. I'm going to St. Louis next week to see it as well and help out where I can.

I just asked Cory for a timetable. I hope to have an answer to this before the end of the live chat. Very good question and one we will address here on the timetable.
Feb 18th, only 4 weeks until the first draft weekend.

Greg, do we have that timetable on when your participants can demo the faab site? thx
