York endured much of the same slings and arrows as Jackie Robinson would 10 years later.

He was an American-Indian in a time where western movies, with indians as the bad guys were at their peak.

Hank Greenberg was given a bonus to move from 1b to left field to get York from behind the plate.

He butchered both positions badly.

[/QUOTE]There's been seven potential catchers taken in the two blind rounds. I'd say half the league has a catcher we don't see.

By the way....thanks Mark. It was a tough pick to make, but 127 rbi's from the catcher position when others may be grabbing guys with 80-90 could prove beneficial later on.

Diamond Kings Baseball Cards

I used to love those cards. I had almost every set from like 1990 to like 1993. Not worth much but I think I still do have at least one years set somewhere.

Oh and by the way......HoJo, Delgado, Reyes, Wagner, & Sheffield in the last dozen picks or so. Do I have to mention the common thread that ties all these players together? I mean honestly guys, this is starting to get embarrassing for the rest of Major League Baseball.

I guess it's Shawn's call.

I suppose there are 5 options.

1- The "We Want to be Pricks" Option -

He has to keep the pick and utilize the player at an available position.

2- The "We All Want to be Seen as Nice Guys" Option -

We wait until he checks the board, realizes his mistake, and makes another pick.

3- The "We Don't Want to be Pricks but C'mon, Check the Board Already" Option -

We give him a time limit of say an hour or 2 to realize his mistake, and then move on if he doesn't by then.

4- The "We Don't Want to be Pricks, but are too Impatient and Addicted Not to Keep Drafting" Option -

We keep drafting now and whenever he comes on, he can change his pick to any player not already picked.

5- The "We Want to be like Gekko" Option -

We all call it a night and get our beauty sleep. :D

I'm open for other suggestions.

everyone should have access to fangraphs or baeballreference. If you make a pick that doesn't qualify at a position you picked, he should qualify elsewhere or put him in the utility spot. He is an OF
