Interesting to see Granderson go # 5 Overall. That owner is banking on the Grandy Man repeating 2011 #'s. Not likely.
I also find it interesting that Hanley was taken # 13. I think as the draft season wear's on and reports start to get out that Hanley "looks great" and is "having lots of fun" with Reyes and the boys, his ADP will continue to creep up. His raw ability and SS & Soon to be 3B Eligibility just make him too appealing at that end of the draft!
Doesn't shock me that no SP's were taken in the first round. I would say the combo of a 1st Round Bat / 2nd Round Arm is a better value than a 1st Round Arm / 2nd Round Bat this year, especially in draft positions 1-10 or so in my opinion.
Thanks for posting these!

When I look at these last four draft results, I'm seeing Desmond Jennings moving into the third round more frequently and Brett Lawrie moving up to 3.8 pretty regularly. Lawrie has an ADP of 44 through our first 32 full leagues and Jennings has an ADP of 55, but both of those guys are moving up a half a round or more. Interesting development here.

bautista seems like he is dropping... the last two postings, i think, had him at 8 and 10. perhaps people are scared off by his 12 homers and .257 average in the 2nd half?

I think the Pedroia/Kinsler picks at the end of Round 1 and start of Round 2 were interesting and gutsy. I also note that Ryan Braun is being picked earlier and earlier - perhaps the odds are increasing (or just the perception) that the suspension is lifted or reduced.

I think it's crazy that it's now been more than a month and a ruling on Braun hasn't been decided yet. It's not fair to the Brewers, Braun or MLB fans. I mean, c'mon, he's ready to work out at spring training and the Brewers don't even know if he will be allowed to or not. MLB spilled the beans on this possible suspension and now you are looking at 5+ weeks without a decision. It's stupid.
As for your perception of Braun's draft status, I don't think it's really changed much since Dan Patrick speculated that he might have the suspension lifted. He seems to be falling in the 22-27 range over the last 2-3 weeks and holding steady there. We'll see what happens after his ruling is announced, which should be by Feb. 28th when hitters are expected to arrive for the Brewers' official opening of spring training. The Brewers have been told they should know his status by then.

It looks like the panic over at 3B has settled down just a bit, with a few guys going surprisingly later than expected (Zimmerman and Aramis in particular). A few are still going way too early IMHO (Lawrie, Sandoval) but the most interesting thing I see is that ARod and Youk seem to be joined at the hip, usually going within a few spots of each other somewhere from mid-5th to mid-6th. IF healthy, these two make for a very good bargain in the 6th round (but that's the big IF).

Interesting. With V-Mart out for the year, it is clear that Napoli and Santana are the top two catchers by some margin and, consequently, it looks like they steadily are moving up earlier and earlier. Not sure if I've seen one of these before where two catchers were taken as early as the second round. Castro seems to be moving up as well in recent drafts. Some pretty nice SPs were available in the fifth round this time - some of those names I've noticed going in the fourth round in many drafts.

With so many folks taking Miguel Cabrera first in these Slow Drafts, this place is as good as any for a good report on Miggy's progress in moving to third base:
