Also, I don't know if this has already been mentioned in the thread but when you create a draft it should tell you that it is in CT. If it doesn't say anything it is generally assumed that it is EST.

The Central time thing needs to be changed. There is absolutely nothing that defaults to central time in this country so nobody expects it (especially since its not noted on the site). Also, the list of upcoming drafts would be easier to look through if it was sorted by date instead of by Draft Title.

I went in and started creating a list, had my top 70. Had to exit out for a bit, came make and wanted to add #71, but the pool of players to add from shows the 70 guys already on my list. Any way they can disappeear?

This is probably too major to add for this year, but drag and drop would make pre-ranking players a LOT easier. I'd prefer not to have to necessarily add players in order, but using the up and down arrows for the majority of the players is going to be super slow.

If we create lists now in this mock draft area, will these lists still be there for the real online drafts?

Thanks!

I know they don't mean much but it is a lot of the fun of mock drafts. Not this year, Don.

Little add ons like that will be there eventually, but we're just focused on making sure the main stuff works properly right now.

Or am I overthinking this, and should just go on auto whenever I feel like it? There isn't a way to cut the rounds, but we can set up a draft on the board here, and just let everyone know that it's a test that won't be drafted all 30 rounds.

What time of the day would work best for something like this?

I created a list of 125 guys, but when I tried to upload it, my list went into my queue and the player list was the preset default list minus the guys in the queue.

I am mocking right now.

Also at one point in the mock my roster had three pitchers listed in the infield. I had to hit reload and then exit and return and it was back to normal...

Has anyone successfully had their rankings copy over into the draft software?

Geoff,

So I went auto for the last 11 rounds of a mock this morning. When I go back and look at the results the Grid view is a bit messed up. Every odd number round pick is correct but the even round picks are messed up. I was pick 7 and al my even round picks are in Pick 9 column. It's almost as if the grid is in somewhat of a straight draft form as opposed to serpentine.

I have a live draft on the 14th. I will try my first mock on this site tomorrow. It takes at least four hours to completely set up my lists on MDC. What are the chances that I will have to set up on MDC for my live draft on the 14th?

Setting up lists on this site were very easy after I figured out a few shortcuts.

For mock drafts, MDC required you to have a legal lineup based on their positional assignments. Live drafts on MDC had that "feature" turned off as the drafter were on their own to end up with legal lineups. I know how mistakes were resolved.

What are the corresponding situations on Fanball's mock/live draft site?

Trying to get my list set-up in the mock draft site. Is there any way to delete a player from my list if I accidentally select him? Once he's on the list, I'm stuck tripping over him until, when and if, I actually reach the spot in the order that I want him stationed at.

Thanks,

Kevin

I participated in several rounds of a mock draft and here are MY thoughts on the site. The following items I did not like listed in order of what I think is most important to me.

1. There is no sound when another team picks so I have to keep looking up when I am crossing out drafted players and looking to see who I will pick next, a huge issue for me.

2. When it came my turn to pick, it autodrafted for me because I could not figure out how to select and draft the player I wanted. Finally figured it out but it is not intuitive.

3. Clock and queue not able to be displayed at the same time on the screen is an issue.

4. The display on top should be showing all 15 teams at the same time.

5. The blue and gray colors all run together. Then if you select the "display drafted players" the green just blends in too. The color selections on the site just does not differentiate the different areas.

6. The maximize button does not work.

7. What the heck is with those those little connected, on-line,autodraft, and offline buttons? They are so small you can't tell if they are lit up or not.

8. Get rid of the advertising.

9. Why a button for rules? A little late to be reading the rules now isn't it?

Things I liked:

1. the fact that you can click on a player and see last 3 years of stats. Bad thing is that box can not be dragged to the side or where ever you would like it.

Based on only one mock draft I would give the site a grade of "C". If someone gave me a choice of drafting my teams on the MDC site or this one, I would pick MDC at this point. I know I am more familiar with MDC and that comes into play but overall it just seems to me that MDC is easier to use. I am a big believer in the KISS philosophy.

A few updates....

Drafts are now listed in the order of starting soonest to latest.

The time issues are being resolved. I believe it will still be based off of Central time, but you will know that :)

Drafter name is going to be removed from all pages -- only team name will show.

Rankings auto-save when you move a player from the default list to your rankings list. When you move someone up or down, you'll have to manually save it when that player reaches his final destination.

On a similar note -- a drag and drop option is in the works for rankings, as well.

A lot of the suggested features will be implemented, as well ... stay tuned.

My e-mail

Thank you for signing up to participate in an NFBC 'Classic Style' mock draft.

Please read the details below about your draft time:

Draft ID: #75

Date: March 5

Time: 3:00 PM CT

It is now 3:01 CT.

I can't find any link to enter the draft.

All I see is a link to create default list.

Thanks. I saw the 'delete list' button above and knew I didn't want to do that! Somehow I totally missed the red button on each player/line.
