Everyone will know the correct time and the timer and internal settings are set for 7 PM ET -- we're good.

Anyone signed up for the 15th and 19th that wants to check out the draft room Wed 2/5 or Thurs 2/6 please shoot me an e-mail or PM with your e-mail address. I'll be in the room between 7 PM ET and 11 PM ET -- stop by anytime -- guessing it will take about 15-30 minutes for you to get the feel of things.

Also KDS is not needed, we're going with the luck of the draw. In this case, 'backwards butter would be best since the 15th pick will lead off round 24 in the snake

Dan/Todd Nfbc auction snake draft portion starts round 24 with seat 1 getting the first pick? Just checking what we are going to do ?

The 23 players will be loaded into each of the 15 teams after the Auction. I'm guessing that the number 15 seat will have first pick in round 24 as in all snake drafts when the 15th pick selects first in even rounds of drafts.
There's a chance it could be handled differently. I don't know.
The NFBC draft room has never done anything like this before and I'd like to thank Greg for getting the IT part of STATS on this so that they can accommodate the Auction/Snake.
Kds and who gets first pick in round 24 will be totally random....Maybe even until we see the draft room... :D

When will STATS be accepting registration and running the payment for the Feb 7 league?

Todd - with all of the snow and miserable weather we are experiencing in the east right about now --- we probably ought to have everyone's cell or home phone # available in case there is a power outage during Friday's draft.

I lost power here on Monday for about 3 hours.

That's part of the plan -- I'm watching 6-8 inches of the fluffy stuff fall right now. I sent my numbers out to the league already and will collect everyone's by Friday.

Auction nominations do not snake. I'll leave it to Dan to decide if #1 or #1 will kick off the reserves.

The site generated the order as soon as everyone entered.

The nomination order is created by the auction site. It is for the auction only.
The snake draft portion of the draft will be set by the NFBC.
Names for the Feb 7 auction/draft have been given to STATS.

I am 8 so that decision doesnt affect me:)

I wont be on tonight or tomorrow due to previous commitments but I have done a few rounds in a mock today...and its pretty easy. Green up arrow is what you have to select to nominate the player. I was double clicking on the player and his stats would pop up

Warning to anyone who's never auctioned at RTS:

If you're not in the draft room when the auction starts, the system will bid for you baed on either your dollar values or the default dollar values. Last season I logged in 1 minute late and saw that I had won a player for $35 and it was a player I didn't even like.

Hopefully there is a way to turn that off. Let's look for that setting and share it with everyone.

This isn't a concern. I'm not going to start the auction until everyone is there.

I mentioned it as well to let people know what happens if they lose power or take too long to get back after a bathroom/smoke run. Auto nomination is fine with me but please shut off auto bidding.

Again, not a concern. Lose power? Call me and I'll pause.

And I won't start things until everyone is back from a break.

All under control.

I'm running a mock auction over there right now. The auction room is well designed and intuitive. Great choice.

I have a question or perhaps a caution. What about players who are listed at one position by RTS and in another position by NFBC? Xander Bogaerts is a SS in the auction room, but people who bid for him should be aware he won't attain SS eligibility in the NFBC for at least a couple weeks.

I asked about this and was told it wouldn't be an issue. That said I've been going through the players for just that purpose and will have it sorted out by draft day.

Good question/caution.
We will all be leaving the auction with a legal team. For our purposes, Bogaerts is only available at 3b, Castellanos, OF only, Olt, 3B only, Cuddyer OF only, etc., etc.
I'm sure Todd will have it 'fixed'.
Even so, when a player like that is nominated, I'll try to emphasize his positionality in chat.

Sounds good. I knew you guys would be on top of this already.

I was like an 18 year old with his first credit card in my mock this morning.
