As for the stickers and the position eligibility and the illegal lineups, don't worry about it Dyv. We had a meeting today just on that subject and Rocky, Tom and me will be on that for every single draft. We'll be monitoring every draft and 12-13 isn't that difficult to make sure everyone leaves with a legal lineup before going to play poker or watch NCAA games. We'll be on top of this.

The Fantasy Sports Trade Conference starts Wednesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at the Rio. Harmon Killebrew and Amos Otis are speaking at our banquet that night. We now have over 140 people coming to that. That event will be done on Thursday night after our FSTA Experts League draft. I am drafting in the NL Auction League, if you want to come, watch two live auctions and make fun of me.

lol - just pokin' fun at the board system. If I cared what people thought I probably wouldn't be so quick to quip!

Dyv, Auction Leagues: $260 is for your 23 starters and you must fill all 23 roster spots legally. You can then draft anyone you want in the reserve round at any position.

Interesting to play with the strategy that only 12 DH players can be taken in the first 23 rounds of the AL auction... even if there are 13 or more that will be on teams. Really spells out the value of the reserve draft and the value of getting one of the top couple picks in it!
How and when will the reserve order be determined? (Sorry if you're answering this while I'm typing)

When I pick the order of the auctions, that's the order you'll sit in at tha auction, the order you'll throw out players and the order you will draft in the reserve round. The reserve round will not be serpentine. 1 through 12 in Round 1, and same for the next five rounds.

In the AL Auction, the DH is not just for designated hitters. It's the utility position, so any player can go there. ANY player. Please remember that.

I'm just saying that while someone MAY plug in an extra OF in their Util spot - NOBODY can get more than one DH-only qualified player in the first 23 rounds.

No, you're right there. Nobody can have two DHs in their starting lineup. You get Edgar Martinez or Toby Hall, not both.

I'll miss the Q&A friday night as I'm in the auction, anyway to be briefed as to any pertinent info?

Greg - Auction rules page says the reserve rounds will be serpentine. You might want to change the page if the reserve will really go 1-12, 1-12, 1-12...

Okay, I've gotta split. Some accountant just tapped me on the shoulder to look at the financial picture. Wish me luck.
Player eligibility lists are on the web site, they are in Fantasy Sports Magazine which everyone should have, and you'll have the "iffy" player list e-mailed to you within the next half hour. Look for that and I'll also post it in the Message Boards this afternoon. Thanks again everyone for making the NFBC a big success and let's keep the signups coming. Talk to you all soon.

Don't worry Terry, I'm on that panel in Las Vegas. I'll fill you in on any secrets that may be blurted out while you're bidding. But it will be low key, fun Q&A and that's it. Oh, that and Marty Barrett talking about his playing career.

Greg,
Completely agree with everyone on your passion and dedication to make this a success. Thank you.
Quick question about FA pickups. Last year in the WCOFB, any player who was placed on the MLB DL was not available to be picked up via FA. Case in point, Phil Nevin. Until Nevin was activated in August by the Padres, he was not listed on the FA pool. Same with guys like Sasaki. When the owner dropped Sasaki after he hurt his arm, he was unavailable until the Mariners activated him.
Maybe I missed a discussion on this or it's somewhere in the rules, but will a player on the MLB DL still be an available FA?
Keep up the good work Greg.
