We're glad to welcome back another NFBC veteran to the Main Event this year as Ted Jarzabek of Oaklawn, Illinois will be back twice, drafting in St. Louis the first weekend and Chicago the second weekend. He's also going to do the NFBC XII in Chicago this year. Ted is having a good football season with us and he hopes that carries over into baseball. Last year his Seeker team finished 6th in St. Louis (182nd overall), while his Atlantis team finished 9th in Chicago League 1 (and 166th overall). Welcome back Ted and best of luck in the hunt for all three league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Dave Clum of Pembroke Pines, Florida already has two league titles under his belt this year -- both in the NFFC where he's battling for two $100,000 grand prizes -- yet he's still thinking about baseball. ALWAYS thinking about baseball, right Dave? Dave will be returning to the Bellagio Las Vegas on March 30-31 to do the three-pack: The Main Event, Auction Championship and the debut NFBC XII. Welcome back Dave. Last year his Diamond King finished 5th in Las Vegas League 2 of the Main Event with 92 points, while placing 140th overall with 2,187.0 points. Hids Buddy Auction Team finished 11th with 62 points and his Ashley Bears finished 8th in the Live Double Play. You're on a roll now Dave, so expect better results next baseball season!! Welcome back and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Let's rev up the Welcome Wagon again today as we have more folks securing spots and making travel plans for our 2012 events. We're glad to welcome back another NFBC veteran to the big dance in 2012 as Mike Duggan of St. Simons Island, Georgia has already committed to the St. Louis Main Event at Pujols 5 Restaurant on Saturday, March 24th. Mike led his ATLANTA O-FERS to a third place finish in St. Louis last year, posting 106 league points and finishing 63rd overall with 2,629.0 points. Mike will likely draft in St. Louis and then swing over to Las Vegas for our second weekend of events in Sin City. It doesn't get any better than that, does it Mike? Welcome back Mike and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

It's good to welcome back another NFBC Main Event defending champion to the 2012 event. Trust me, these guys are as good as they come in this competition and now that they have George Melbrod back on the team, LOOK OUT!! Let's give it up for the tag team of Mike Cameron of Encinitas, California and Ron Spurgeon as they are teaming up again this year for two Main Events, a Super League and an NFBC XII league. Mike, Ron and George will be with us the second weekend in Las Vegas for the Main Event and Super League, and they'll do the Main Event and NFBC XII Online the first weekend. Mike and Ron are coming off another league title as they won Las Vegas League 3 of the Second Weekend last year with 120 points, placing 20th overall with 2,955.5 points. They also finished second in Online League 2 of the First Weekend with 107 points, while placing 68th overall with 2,601.0 points. Just to top off a good season, they also won an Online Championship league title and finished 48th overall in that competition. Great, great job guys and we're glad to have you back for both weekends in 2012. Study hard in February when you're relaxing in Costa Rica!! Stay well and best of luck in the hunt for all of these league titles and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Boy, this Main Event isn't going to be easy this year. It looks like all of the defending league champs are securing their spots early this year and getting ready to battle again for another one. The latest 2011 Main Event champion to jump into this year's event is Paul Gromek of Plymouth, Michigan, who will be drafting Online the First Weekend and in Chicago the Second Weekend, even adding an NFBC XII entry on Friday night in Chicago. Paul battled all year long for the $100,000 grand prize as his G&B Enterprises won Online League 3 of the First Weekend with 132 points and eventually placed third overall with 3,238.5 points, a mere 68.5 points behind Lindy Hinkelman. G&B Enterprises also won a $125 Satellite League, giving Paul two league titles in 2011. Nice job Paul and welcome back to the NFBC this year. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for the league titles and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

It's good to see so many NFBC veterans locking down their spots early and making travel plans early. The latest NFBC die-hard to join the competition is Greg Doyle of San Ramon, California, who will again be teaming up with Duran Holton. These guys are locked in for the Main Event in Las Vegas on March 31st, along with the Super League the next day. Last year, Greg and Duran led The Strained Obliques to a third place finish in Las Vegas League 1 of the Main Event with 98 points, placing 95th overall with 2,449.5 points. They're already preparing with entries in the $150 and $1,000 Slow Drafts, so watch out for these guys. Welcome back to Sin City guys and best of luck in the hunt for the league titles and the $100,000 grand prize.

I like it when NFBC owners who I haven't met yet come out to Las Vegas to draft for the first time and have Corona's with me!! That will be the case this year with Ken O'Brien of Virginia Beach, Virginia, who competed in the NFBC Main Event and Auction Championship last year in Atlantic City. Now that we're not returning to AC, Ken has decided to fly out to Las Vegas for the Second Weekend of activities and will be competing in the Main Event, NFBC XII and the Ultimate Auction Championship. Can't beat that tripleheader, my man!! Last year in AC, Ken led his BN Bears to a 5th place finish in Atlantic City League 1 with 90 points, placing 115th overall with 2,326.5 points. Welcome back Ken and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're off to a pretty good start already in St. Louis on that first weekend and hope to fill up at least one league each of the Main Event and NFBC XII. Kyle Brinkmann of Vandalia, Illinois is hoping for even more as he's jumped into four leagues that weekend in St. Louis: The Main Event on March 24th, the NFBC XII on the 23rd and 24th and he's even going to push for an Auction League on Friday morning. All of this is being held at Pujols 5 Restaurant, which will be interesting now that Albert has signed a $254 million contract with the Angels. Kyle loved the draft in St. Louis last year even though Team Brinkmann stumbled to a 10th place finish in the Main Event with 68 points. Thanks for pushing all of these leagues along Kyle and we'll do our best to fill 'em all. Best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

I'm glad to welcome my good buddy Charlie Wiegert of St. Louis, Missouri to the NFBC in 2012 as the Godfather of Fantasy Sports will be playing with us again this year. Charlie, who owns and operates the best salary cap game in the industry CDM Fantasy Sports, is a player first and a Cardinals' fan second. Okay, maybe I have that order mixed up, but you get my point!! He loves to play and compete in the top games and that's why he's back with us in St. Louis. Charlie is going to compete in the debut NFBC XII on Friday night, March 23 at Pujols 5 Restaurant in St. Louis and he will help run the Saturday Main Events the next day. Last year, Charlie competed in the Live Double Play in St. Louis and he led his Affton Animals to a fourth place finish with 78 points, just six points out of first place. He's back for more fun and maybe a little money and we're glad to have him back. Thanks for all your help Charlie and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

It's time to get caught up on the Welcome Wagon before Registration officially opens today. Let's wheel into the Windy City as we welcome NFFC veteran Dave Van Der Stuyf of Willow Springs, Illinois back for another season of action. Dave has been around since the beginning and will return to Chicago on March 30-31 for the Auction Championship and the Main Event. Last year, Dave led Darth Vander to a second place finish and $2,800 in Chicago League 2 with 113 points, placing 47th overall with 2,718.0 points. Darth Vander also finished 4th in a very, very tight Chicago Auction League with 93 points. Welcome back Dave and best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

Let's welcome back Thomas Wilhelmsen of Oslo, Norway to the NFBC as he returns to compete in the Main Event Online on March 31st. Thomas is a big baseball fan who joined the NFBC's Main Event last year. His Legalize Lutefisk team didn't fare so well during its NFBC debut, but he's among the first to sign up this year, hoping to break through this year for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize. Welcome back Thomas and best of luck this year.

We're glad to welcome back a pair of 7-year NFBC veterans who have won multiple Main Event league titles. In fact, Dan and Evan Satinoff of Alexandria, Virginia were going for their third straight league title last year when they fell just short in New York League 4. The Slackerbrothers finished second in NY4 with 106 points -- just 1.5 points out of first -- and had to settle for the $2,800 2nd place prize. Slackerbrothers finished 36th overall with 2,770.0 points. Dan and Evan are excited to be returning to New York on March 31st and will be competing in the Main Event and the debut NFBC XII. Great job once again guys and best of luck in the hunt for the league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're glad to welcome back an old face to our new season as Bobby Brendler of Rockville, Maryland will be returning to New York City on Saturday, March 31st for the NFBC's Main Event. Bobby played in the Main Event during our early years, but limited his participation to satellite leagues last year. We're glad to have him back in the big dance and wish him best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome back another NFBC Charter Member to the NFBC Main Event as Steve Janovici of Lindenhurst, New York will be back for his 9th season. He is looking to avenge last year's disappointing 14th place finish in New York League 5 and has already gotten his season going with two early season email drafts. Welcome back Steve and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're excited by the early interest in our debut NFBC XII Main Event, the industry's first 12-team national live event contest with a $50,000 grand prize. Joe Berg of Fullerton, California is an NFBC veteran who has competed in the 15-team Main Event the past few years but is more comfortable competing in the 12-team formats. As a result, he is taking two NFBC XII teams in Las Vegas on the weekend of March 30-31. His best result last year was in the NFBC Live Double Play, where his Money team finished 2nd in the March 28th League with 87 points, finishing 52nd overall. Thanks for the strong support here Joe and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 league prizes and the $50,000 grand prize.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! I love it.

The first one to jump into a new live event is Jared Namenson of Jared Namenson of Kettering, Ohio, who is jumping into the NFBC XII Online on Saturday, March 31st at 7 pm ET. Jared teamed up with Tom Zaragionnas in the Main Event last year and led CATCH AND ZAZIE to a second place finish in Las Vegas League 2 with 108.5 points. They actually tied for second place within the league and finished 57th overall with 2,675.0 points. Jared also led his CDJK's Bright Ideas to a league title in the NFBC Online Championship, while finishing 12th overall. Great job Nared and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.

Brady will be competing in the NFBC Auction Championship at the Bellagio Las Vegas on Sunday, April 1st at 10 am. We're glad to have Brady with the NFBC and I can promise him a fun, competitive time in Sin City with this gang!! Welcome aboard Brady and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prize and the $15,000 grand prize.

Let's give a hearty welcome to Douglas Chrisman of Point Loma, California as he is officially locked into the debut NFBC XII Online on Saturday, March 31st. Doug competed in a pair of $125 Satellite Leagues last year, but he's stepping up to our new 12-Team Main Event this year and challenging for the $50,000 grand prize. We've got a lot of NFBC veterans securing spots already, which is always good to see. Let's welcome back Mark Bendar of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey as he's splitting up his fun over two weekends on the East Coast. Mark will be competing in the Auction Championship on March 23rd in Mahwah, New Jersey and then competing in the Main Event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, March 31st. I like that strategy, Mark, I really do. Last year Mark led his Strike Force team to a third place finish in the Atlantic City Auction League with 106.5 points, while finishing 16th overall with 932.5 points. His Strike Force Live Double Play team also finished third with 90.5 points. We're glad to see you stepping up to the Main Event this year Mark and wish you best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $115,000 in grand prizes.

It's a good day for the Main Event as we've had several signups today and certainly in the last week. Our latest is NFBC veteran Frank Heron of Davie, Florida, who took a breather from an exciting fantasy football season to secure his spot in the baseball Main Event. Frank is having such a good football season that he had the high point total in the NFFC Classic after Week 13 and won another $5,000 in the Ultimate League through Week 13. He's still in the hunt for the Classic $100,000 grand prize with one week of action left. Good luck on the gridiron Frank. Frank's MIAMI CANES competed in both weekends of the NFBC Main Event last year, with his best team coming on the Second Weekend in Las Vegas 6 when he finished 8th with 71.5 points (235th overall). We're glad to have you back Frank and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Wow, the defending Main Event league champs are coming home to roost today!! Let's give it up for another 2011 league champ who has committed to the 2012 event in Las Vegas. Jim Christie of Rochester, New York is known as Every League Luny and if you look at his team page you'll see why!! :D He gets his money's worth and last year he earned a good payday thanks to his Main Event league title. He led his Lunatic Addiction to a first place finish in New York League 5 with 122 points, while finishing 12th overall with 3,050.0 points. His best Live Double Play team finished 2nd in the March 29th league with 83 points and placed 31st overall with 1,576.0 points. After a year in New York, Jim is returning to Las Vegas with us and will be at the Bellagio drafting in the Main Event, the debut NFBC XII and the Auction Championship. And if I know Jim, he will be a partner on some other teams. Congrats on a great 2011 season and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $165,000 in grand prizes.

We're glad to welcome another new member to our Main Event as Michael McElroyof Pleasanton, California is locked and loaded for Las Vegas with us. Michael competed in the Live Double Play last year and three Online Championships, but he's already competing in a Slow Draft League now and has committed to the Main Event and debut NFBC XII at the Bellagio March 30-31 along with three Online Championship teams. I like it Michael. In those four 12-team leagues last year, Michael finished 3rd three times and 4th once. Solid finishes indeed, but just below the money cashing line. I know Michael plans on moving up a spot or two this year and we're glad to have him live with us in Las Vegas. Welcome aboard Michael and best of luck in the hunt for all of those league prizes and the combined $200,000 in grand prizes.
