BATTING ORDER
1. Randy Winn, CF:
2. Omar Vizquel, SS:
3. Ray Durham, 2B:
In his final contract season, Durham hopes to avoid the disabled list for the second straight year and duplicate his .290 average and in-the-clutch hitting. His defense looks sharper than ever.
4. Barry Bonds, LF:
5. Moises Alou, RF:
6. Lance Niekro, 1B:
7. Pedro Feliz, 3B:
8. Mike Matheny, C:Maybe some of you should give Alou a call and let him know that he's got his batting order wrong.
I will explain it to you slowly- the comment was Durham for speed, I have Durham projected at 5 steals even with the plantar facitis, but if he hits in front of Bonds that hurts how much he will run. If I need to explain why please find another hobby quickly.
If Durham hits 3rd and steals 0 bases, he'll still be a steal where he was taken in the draft.
If you intention was to compliment the Baseball Tangent guys on their late game selection of a middle infielder who may hit .300 with power and a ton of runs, you're doing a great job.
CC addressed the injury concerns- I will take the other 2. A ton of runs is usually described as 100 a mark he has not achieved in any of the past 3 years, 300 hitter again same thing. Try again sport, this is the part where we pat you on the head tell you that you are growing like a weed and you walk away. One more thing I love that your source of positive news blurb on Durham is the Giants website. The Drays website probably says this is the year Seth Mclung breaks through, or the Royals says Mark Teehan hit 296 for a 5 day stretch in 05 so we expect big things this year.
Thanks, but I don't think there is much I can learn here. My fantasy leagues measure 2006 stats, not 2004 and 2005 stats that you are citing. To my knowledge, Durham did not hit in front of the greatest hitter of all time in '04 and '05, so his failure to hit .300 or score 100 runs isn't dispositive of my assertion.
Maybe someday I'll join a league where scoring is based on last years stats - if so I'll be sure to follow your posts closely.

I'm also guessing Bonds moves from 4th back to 3rd if he's playing well, and Alou batting 4th.
Durham still should justify his draft selection, and maybe please his owners.
~Lance 1 game with Durham batting 3rd down. 9/161 to go before your "100-to-1" odds are shattered.

I have Durham...and his 0-4...so believe me I'd LOVE him to bat 3rd all year in front of Bonds.
The odds were set...nobody bet...nothing to win/lose.
I almost posted "good job" when I saw the SF lineup.
I'm happy that starting today...every darn day has a bunch of sub-plots...stats...and fun!!!

This is by far the most that Durham has been talked about in many years. He won't make or break anyones season, so why all the interest???
Been way too long at sea....

The BBT guys got clowned for taking Durham. As it stands right now, Durham was fantastic value considering where he was taken.
Those clowning the BBT guys were WRONG. Again.

Ray Durham stealing bases and batting 3rd. I think that's 7/8 games Durham has batted 3rd thus far.

I benched Durham for Todd Walker this week...looked good today...but I can use that 1 stolen base from Ray.

I believe the facts are Durham has batted 3rd in only 2 out of 9 games since then. Guess Alou was right. Maybe you should give him a call to tell him he has his batting order wrong.
It also looks like sportsbetting could be right on his prediction that Durham would bat 3rd in 10 games or under.
BTW, like the Marrero pickup. But I question the Izturis pickup considering he got hurt on Sunday and it was known he was going on the DL.
Can I subscirbe to your website for your insights on picking up hurt players?

Hey TommyGunz, thanks for making an appearance. It seems the baseballtangent.com website is down, and has been for some time. I was wondering if you might be able to help me answer a few questions:
(1) Why is the Baseballtangent.com in New York 1 currently in 11th place, when they all but assured us that they were going to win this league?
(2) Why has said team not made a single roster move in the past two weeks?
(3) Why has it been nearly two weeks--July 2nd at 11:57 pm to be exact--since Kevin Hermsmeier (owner of said team) has even logged into the NFBC website?
If there has been a family emergency or some tragedy, please pass along my best wishes.
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
