Have been doing it the entire series. If something was wrong with the normal dirt why didn't they fix it after the first game. Intentionally making the field worse and more dangerous seems incredibly pathetic. Enough so I lost a lot of respect for this Detroit organization about it. Cannot imagine Joe would think that is appropriate either.
I didn't catch any of that. It sure doesn't sound right. The only thing I remember like that is back in the day, some teams grew the infield grass longer.
FAAB is done, heading out for some afternoon beers with the boys. Six weeks from today and the seasons over.

This is Exhibit A for the rule change???

Yes. How much clearer an example do you need Greg ? Chen had gone at least 6 inn's in his previous 6 starts and had been superb. 4 ER in that span. However I did not like the matchup at Detroit. I like choices. Others apparently don't. To each his own. * Sorry didn't mean to get too over zealous, just my opinion, I can roll with whatever.
I know Dan had broached the subject and I was just throwing my support behind his suggestion.
Always be closing.

I know exactly what Dave means with Chen. At this time of year, beggars can't be choosers and Chen is at the back of some rotations.
I loved him against MIA, hate him against DET.
A choice would have been a good thing to have there.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Honestly, I haven't decided how I feel about a possibly rule change. I'm not sure if it's good or not, nor have I thought thru all the possible ramifications of a change.
However, I agree with Dave, This is an excellent example of a "One-Pitcher F-S Change" that an owner might make.

I personally do not like the idea. If you don't like the back end start, then you have a decision to make. Most draft a two start pitcher for the two starts. Its a gamble. I could see turning the UTIL spot into a flex where a pitcher could be added. At least then there is a decision that needs to be made that sacrifices categories.
