Okay, I'll be the sacrificial Express virgin Friday night. Best way to learn is from the best, right?

Greg and Tom, please reserve me a spot. When I get home, I'll register. Thanks!

Okay, sorry about not updating this thread last night. Between our two hour show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and getting back for New Year's Eve with the family, there was a time lapse for me last night that missed these final signups and more. We have more than a full league now and I need to go through the actual signups to see who made the first 15. I'll update this thread shortly, but we have more than a full league for sure.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!

Okay, we have 17 owners who signed up for this league or said they were signing up. I don't know who The Duker is, so please identify yourself and sign up ASAP. Maybe I have you on this list twice and just don't know it. If so, then Jim White is in and Jon Stadtmueller is next in line.

We'll keep the Registration open for Friday Night through tomorrow to see if there's interest in a second DC Express League, but the sooner we get the first 15 locked in the sooner we can set a KDS deadline and get this league locked and loaded. Should be fun. Again, I'm sorry I couldn't keep up with the signups in real-time, but some of these came in while we were on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and others came in during the New Year's Eve celebration. But I do have the order of signups correct below.

Here's the tentative list for Friday Night and I'll update this shortly when we identify The Duker:

NFBC Draft Champions Express League
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 1 Minute Per Pick
Friday, Jan. 3rd, 8 pm ET
1. Paul Weber
2. Mark Srebro
3. The Duker
4. Dave Potts
5. Matthew Shepherd
6. Todd Zola
7. KJ Duke
8. BK Mets
9. George Kleemann
10. Roger Martin
11. Jeff Kent
12. Errol Thompson
13. Mike Boelkens
14. Deadheadz
15. Norm Kent
16. Jim White
17. Jon Stadtmueller

Sorry Andy, you were after the first 17. I've added Dustin Wagner to the list now as he signed up after you. We're at 18 owners now. Again, we'll keep it open and see what happens the rest of the way, but I know a lot of you were trying to get into that first league. If nothing else, we'll do it again next Friday and every Friday going forward. Thanks all.

I hope we're going to have more than 15 hours between the KDS results and the start of the draft.

Some of us need time to study how many shortstops we can squeeze into the first 5 picks.

Has anyone ever done two of these express DCs simultaneously? Mark you up for it?

Rog - I thought about it, but I think it would be too difficult. Imagine if I lost my Internet connection for a few minutes. Complete chaos.

That's why you pre-rank your players.

For example, if you like Tulo, put him at the top and then put 4-5 other SS right behind him in case the guy ahead of you takes Tulo. You'll be all set at SS in 2014.

I've never pre-ranked players last year with 30 drafts and won't do so this year. I don't see any value only a major waste of time

So in the scenario you mentioned where your internet is out during the draft, you're going off NFBC's default rankings?

Good plan.

I have access through my phone if need be. I can do a single draft through my phone, but not two on the same night. In all my years playing the nfbc, I've never had to take a default pick. I must be the luckiest bastard alive

Okay, KDS Deadline for this league is midnight tonight. Please set your KDS preferences on your team pages tonight. Tom will set this league up today and we'll announce draft picks tomorrow morning. Look for an email from Tom today with all of this information.

This will give you 10-12 hours beforehand to know your draft spots. Good luck all and we'll see you on Friday night in the draft room.

Is this a general "we'll see you" or are you going to be monitoring this one Greg? I'm expecting a thrill ride. Might be fun to watch, I dunno.

PS - with my poor planning skills, u should be able to put a good old school beatn on me tomorrow, right?

The truth of the matter is that I will crush all opponents including you. I don't show mercy. I don't show remorse.

Here's the thing: After most of my drafts, my opponents will look at my draft and say this guy doesn't stand a chance. I expect it to be no different this time.

But, if I use history as a guide, there's a very strong probability your entry fee money winds up helping to pay for my new patio
