With all due respect to the players mentioned here but is the Main Event the only criteria? Of course not.
Nobody has a better record than Chad Schroeder. 3 Main Event titles, 5 Primetime titles and multiple top 10 and top 5 in both events overalls. That is pretty impressive. I know Chad doesn't get caught up in the HOF thing, his record should be impossible to ignore.

Color me in on the JD vote...class act and always seems to be at or near the top. Hate seeing him in an auction league with me as I know I'm about to get schooled...again
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Lots of really good players but I would leave it at DiDonato and no one else.

I have no business in that thing Joe. Tons of way more deserving players than me.Money wrote:With all due respect to the players mentioned here but is the Main Event the only criteria? Of course not.

Without looking at much, the guys that seem deserving of mention in no particular order after the fist one would be DiDonato(lock), Particelli, Bama, Pausma, KJ, Mazur, Dobies, Morgan, Kirves, and Kenyon(great player as well as great contributor to the NFFC brand, and that would matter to me). I am sure I forgot some, but those come to my mind without thinking about if very long.

Don't sell yourself, Chad. You belong in the same group of people you identified.Cocktails and Dreams wrote:Without looking at much, the guys that seem deserving of mention in no particular order after the fist one would be DiDonato(lock), Particelli, Bama, Pausma, KJ, Mazur, Dobies, Morgan, Kirves, and Kenyon(great player as well as great contributor to the NFFC brand, and that would matter to me). I'm not a big "HOF" guy for stuff like this, but if we're going to have one, we should make it for the overwhelming elite. The three we have in their now fit that category. I think DiDonato is very close to that level and belongs. Then there are a group of 8-10 guys that are excellent players that aren't there yet. I don't think we should dip down to that level. Let them keep trying to improve their resume. Let's avoid turning this into the Hall of Very Good.

Agreed, in football there was a slew of entrants this year which seemed like overkill (not to say anyone in particular didn't deserve it), but I don't think baseball needs any catch up. If no one measures up to the guys already in there, I'd keep them out until they do.Hells Satans wrote:Let's avoid turning this into the Hall of Very Good.
