PVH:

$69 on Southwest. PHX on March 23,24,25 - then into Vegas to hang with this stellar group.
Looks like a PRIMETIME opening in the morning with the NFBC. I see Mike Massotto's name is listed.
Looks like a must play now - sure beats having to beat 11 guys in one league. With Mike in there,
only 10 guys to worry about, becomes a no brainer.

See you in Phoenix, Perry.

Dan Semsel has jumped in as we add another Overall Main Event winner to the roster!

Down to 3 spots.

Two spots left for this one. I have been off duty in my recruiting for awhile as I await response from the new HOF'er.

Everyone in this contest so far is Top 25 in either Main Event rank or Money Rank. If others on one of those lists are up for some punishment, let me know. If you are off that list but nonetheless accomplished, interested and in Vegas at that time, let me know.

I'll look to wrap up the league roster by the end of the week.

For those who have asked, we'll probably start 6pm on Thursday, or possibly a little later - not earlier.

Alright, not only do we have another All-Star owner, he's our first All-Star/Expert ... almost as rare as a Greg Ambrosius 360 dunk.

Todd Zola is IN as our 14th owner. One spot left!

Particelli on the phone with the airline frantically changing his flight to a LATER date once he saw that Lindy, Juprinka, Childs, etc. etc. etc. were already signed up for this league.

Is true. I do try to seek out weaker competition for my leagues.

If anyone can get me from London to Vegas on Thursday in time for the draft, I'm in.

Can't wait to see who the last entry ends up being for this blast of an event. I know Particelli will be busy (aka hiding) in London for this auction... but KJ, if you can't get Particelli or our newest MIA HOF to commit, who do you have in mind to cap off this list?

Alrighty, time to finalize this. I've been holding out for one David DiDonato for a week. But it seems David is doing some primary research far from home and hasn't been reachable. Meanwhile, Particelli continues to hide behind his travel quandry excuse ;) , so we'll move on and go in a completely different direction.

I've had multiple players in the queue who were interested in this last spot, but with all the talk about old-guard in recent days I thought it would be fun to go with a potential up-and-coming star for the last spot and 15th seed.

That brings us to Matt Modica, who in his first two years in the main event has placed in the top 50 each season. Will he pull a Glenn Lowy and rise up to join the ranks of the elite in short order? I don't know, but why not throw him into the shark tank and see how he does?

Matt also has a website called CTM Baseball, and he's been stealing my players left and right in several DC drafts. Equally important, he's wanted in this since the beginning and he'll be in Vegas and ready to roll for the first (and most fun) live auction of the season. So welcome aboard Matt, screw the old guard, and let's get everyone signed up and official for the first annual NFBC All-Star league! 8-)

Matt Modica, huh? I checked his credentials. Pretty impressive. Welcome to the shark tank Matt.

Of course, I would have preferred another player with the same MM initials. At least if he were in this league, it would have given me a decent shot of staying out of last place. :D

Still, great choice on the last spot KJ, and great job coming up with this idea and getting some of the players I admire the most in one room together to play this thing out. I don't think I, or any of us, will have a tougher challenge all year.

Matt really knows his stuff, I met him at HQ's First Pitch Arizona, he is a great addition to this league. This is going be a great kickoff to the NFBC weekend.

I was thinking celery sticks, mini carrots and rice cakes ... just to make sure we're all in the best drafting shape of our weekend.

As long as those are laying beside a big chocolate cake, chips, crackers, and soda...I have no problem with that...

I thought we were promised Shafer Cab, filet minon, 2 lb lobsters, cavier, and Tiffany, the girl from last year's Viewing Party serving the food to us?

Pssst....it's an expensive Napa Valley wine that KJ suggested. I know because I had to google it too. Don't tell anyone. I'd actually settle for the steak, 2 lb lobsters, and Tiffany. ;)

Growing up I had to take 4 sips of Manischewitz twice a year. Too bad the league isn't the following weekend -- Passover begins Friday night, April 3,

Glenn, I'm sorry to report that my ad and recruitment expenses went over budget ... so perhaps a slight downgrade.
