uribe is playing because he can actually play 3rd base. crawford- there is ZERO i mean ZERO reason guerro isn't playing for him. the dodgers may win- but i have never- including the yanks- seen a team just waste money like them. btw- who signed crawford to the worst contract in baseball- oh wait it was theo. but theo learned from that one- and he may have been forced into it.

I get the impression they signed Olivera primarily to keep him away from San Francisco and San Diego.

There's a nice feature story on Kris Bryant in the May 11th Sports Illustrated. I especially like this part of the article:

Many times he's stepped into the batter's box to face a pitcher he grew up watching: "The other day in Pittsburgh, it was A.J. Burnett, and I'm think, Man, I had this guy on my fantasy team in college."

How can you NOT love a guy who was playing fantasy baseball just a few short years ago!!!
