mike thanks for the kershaw stats. when talking about pitcher health- people should look at him and sale over the last 5 years. you start out kershaw sale and i think you win leagues 4 out of the last 5 years if you could have found any kind of offense. maybe even 5 out of 5. probably both get hurt this year now that i have said that.

More pro-Kershaw numerish.

We're talking drafts, but many derive a draft list from auction values. Conventionally, we assign anywhere from 65-70 percent of the budget to hitting. Fact is, we should do it 50/50, but the lean is to hitting to match what actually happens.

Setting the split 50/50, Kershaw is priced in the low 70s while Trout is mid 30s.

A healthy Kershaw generating stats similar to what he's done the past few seasons is the top fantasy player -- and it isn't remotely close.

In other words, you lied.
It's hard for a liar to say or hear he's a liar.

As my friend KellyAnne said, I gave alternative facts.

I thought you wanted us to move on from this?

I will say that I will probably always lead off with #1 just for the fun of having it (even if you are not going to score, you always want a shot at the head cheerleader), but as far as being on the turn, I would rather be 3/4 or 12/13. Get basically the same benefit, it is pretty easy to project the next 4/6 picks, gets a little breather between picks, and a little less time on the long-turn. Something like 1-3-4-13-12-8 or with 8 in the middle.
Just saw my next KDS is 15, which is a surprise because I had 8 ranked above it.
Thinking of trying a new strategy being that I have a wheel pick. Every time the two picks come up, take the player I 'should take' followed by the player I 'want to take'.

Have you ever tried something like this?

No, I've never tried this, but when I'm on the clock I sometimes think of potential picks as either guys I "need" versus guys I "want." While I may give myself one or two "want" picks each draft, I've found my teams typically are better when I make the sometimes-boring "need" picks over the admittedly-more-fun "want" picks. (When I used to go with more "want" picks, I tended to find myself with no or crappy closers and even-crappier catchers.)
