Dog, First. We're three weeks into this thing.
I saw your team. Sorry for you. Pretty ugly team.
The kind only a mother or dirty dog could love.
Second, I'm in a real man's league. Let me click of a few names. Charlie Wiegert, Rick Thomas,
Eddie Gillis, Kenneth Magner etc. Who's your league? Joe the pusher guy? I'm trying to understand these comments. Please help me. Are you saying:
1) These guys are better than you;
2) You can't draft a good team with these guys in your league; or
3) You need guys like this in your league in order to have a "real man's league".
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation. [/QUOTE]Allow me to re-post:

The 15th for Las Vegas Sucks!!!
I've been watching this debate for awhile and I agree with Capt. Hook. The weekend of the 29th is much better I think.
Walla, what were the rates for that weekend?
The reason for my choice is that it puts us closer to the beginning of the season and a better idea of who is going to play, who is getting sent down, and who got that last minute injury that puts them on the 60-day DL. If the rates are better than for the 15th that just makes the 29th make more sense.
Just my two cents...
Oh yeah, John, give 'em hell, buddy!

Oh yeah, John, give 'em hell, buddy! Yes, it's the best weekend to draft, but there are also a lot of guys who draft that weekend in their local leagues. I've heard from a lot of folks who say they couldn't join the NFBC if we had the draft that weekend. So it's a balancing act that because of Easter falling on March 23rd this year makes everything tough. If not for Easter, I'd definitely go with the 21-23 this year.
We'll figure it out. Again, let me finalize things with the Flamingo on the 15th first and see what the rates are.

Hey Walla Walla, cool your jets. No reason to go off the deep end here just yet. A little patience sure would help your blood pressure. There is no reason to panic, give Greg a chance to work this out.

Okay, we have a good deal with the Flamingo now and are going forward with the weekend of March 14-16, 2008. Room prices under our block are $189 per night, lower than this year's $219 price. The Thursday price is $189, up from last year's $149, but the weekend prices are down $30 per night. So overall, this is a good deal and if you plan ahead and book flights in advance and grab our room block early everything should work in Las Vegas.
We're working on the other cities now and should have updates soon.
