In Chicago League 4, the only pick that I remember off the top of my head: Dice K was drafted with the first pick in the 4th round. Early but if you really want him, go for it right? (although I think there was a good shot he still would've been there at the turn of Rd 5-6) Your memory is correct, Richard. Dice K at 4.1.

Milledge went 11.6.

Miguel Cabrera slides to the the # 12 spot. Defending Champ Terry Haney knew exactly what to do with the pick. Like he needed the help. ;) Yeah, the champ came out of the gate strong from the 12 hole. Cabrera, Soriano, Corey Hart, Furcal and Josh Beckett. Looks like he went back to the well with last year's stars: Beckett and Takashi Saito. Is Rich Harden in the 12th round this year's Josh Beckett for him? Only time will tell.
Yikes. Helluva start for him. But alas, I'd bet my house Rich Harden doesn't make 175 innings or 20 starts.
With the way house values are falling in California, that's not much of a bet. C'mon, put some real value on this Harden bet!! :D
Ouch. :( You had to go right for the jugular Greg. Next year when you had down to the pool, I'll make sure the bucket of coronas never dips below 6!!!
We thought highly enough of Cabrera to take him at #5 in LV #1; but then HRam was sitting there for us. So while we were happy to get HRam that late, we did not like seeing Cabrera fall all the way to #12 regardless of who was taking him, let alone the defending champ.

There were a ton of surprises and/or "value picks" in LV 1, or at least more than I expected.

AH , the King having a little fun with me.Sometimes you just cant hit every position , actually i had to sweat out Harris who was the best of the rest in the 21st round. If he gives me last years numbers i will call that a win,72 runs, 12 homers, and a 286 bavg.

Aaron Hill who goes in the 11th round ,87 runs,17 homers, and a 291 bavg.

Kelly Johnson 91 runs, 16 homers, and a 276 bavg, he went in the 10th round.

Harris for the round isnt as bad as you think.

How about Howie Kendrick who somebody took in round 6 because everybody says its his time.

5 homers , 39 rbi's, and 322 bavg with those 322 at bats.Ild take a stud hitter or pitcher this early then the next choosen one. he he he he.

Here's a good one: in the New York Ultimate Draft League, Jake Peavy was the first pitcher off the board at 2.04 (Santana went one pick later at 2.05).

Any other leagues where Santana was NOT the first pitcher off the board?
Good idea, Kevin. Word on the street is that CC's Desperados is thinking of dropping the "renman" moniker used in the NFFC.
That's the rumor, isn't it? ;)

Truth be told, I didn't even have time to look over all of the New York draftboards (let alone other city data). My own draft ended at 5:30pm, and after a few minutes of BSing, I had to jet home to get on the teleconference by 7:00pm.

How many of my odd-round picks were targets of Team Thomas/Childs?
