What's with the bullpen over there? They just throw off the wall?

3-run shot by Emil Brown. You can't concede his talent and his bad skills. This is what the big fans of Bailey and Edwin Jackson just don't get. You can't ignore a guy's flaws just because he throws well.
[/QUOTE]true. I still think Lester has a chance to be a solid pitcher for the Redsox.

There's nothing better than watching baseball in HD. Feels almost like I'm there.

I've got to get to sleep, but hard to leave without seeing Harden through. He looks awesome out there.

Go Harden. He's now going 11th round in March 26th draft. Guaranteed. ;)

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

IMHO, once you are counting on the winnings being there at the end of the year to the degree that you are making plans around it, you are a gambler and not a person making a reasonable investment in his skill.

What ever happened to the Bill Beane interview during this broadcast? The only reason I'm not listening to it on the radio. And, doesn't ESPN have anyone better than these two guys to send as their envoy halfway around the world?

Baseball announcers progressively get worse, don't they?

Whether its their network pushing them to have a happy face on everything or their own over-glibness, for lack of a better word, they are just plain hard to listen to.

More interested in a play on words (I despise Tim McCarver) than the plays on the field. It seems most younger announcers coming up are more suited to be hosting an awards show rather than announcing a baseball game. I want to be informed about a baseball game and not see a guy audition for a future talk show.

Color analyst have surpassed them. WGN has had two of the best over the years in Steve Stone and Bob Brenley. Remy with the Sox is great, Grace with the Diamondbacks is getting better. There is cause for hope in this area.

Its too bad a Vin Scully only comes along once in a lifetime.

What's wrong with "good guys"? You don't have to be nice. It was a joke. They are the most obnoxious announcers in the world. I doubt there is anyone on here who actually enjoys them.
