I didn't want #1 but if I get it I would have taken David Wright. It's hard enough to win these contests as it is but eliminating a whole organization (and I'm not talking SF !) makes it doubly so. Take AROD and other Yankees and look at it as win-win. If they do well they help you win. If they suck you get to toss dirt on their graves :cool:
Has nothing to do with the uniform. I believe Wright will be the superior player in 2008. Am I that far off predicting that? This Wright guy is pretty good and I think he keeps getting better. Bill James and Ron Shandler agree!
HA! you wouldn't draft a yankee if Babe himself was staring at you in round 25 :D

I say Wright takes Arod in avg and sb's but AROD obliterates him in the other categories.
WRONG!!! Main Event team last year round 4. Nothing to do with uniform. :cool:

Just a quick thought on the KDS this year: Don't you think it's interesting that 100 PERCENT of all NFBC leagues this year (100+ total) had Alex Rodriguez going first in the draft and yet 42.5% of all main event owners wanted a first pick other than No. 1?? Kind of interesting, don't you think? ;) I believe Todd Zola took David Wright #1 overall in an NFBC satellite this week.

I agree that Wright will put up equal if not superior stats to A-Rod this year. Just wait until the cry baby starts slumping again and puts up 06 numbers. He hit his 500 homers and got paid. Wright is young and improving every year. I would of taken wright too

We already had 100+ drafts in by then!!! :D Good luck Lord Zola and may you prove the fantasy gods wrong with Mr. Wright.

I know huh. It was a very different first two rounds than any ADP could of predicted. Utley fell cause Pujols/Johan went in the top 10 which helped. But Fielder coming back was unheard of. I just hope that the other guys in my league didn't know something i didnt ;) 1) Like the fact that his wife talked him into going on a vegetarian diet in February;

2) Like the fact that it is REALLY difficult to get enough calories or protein without ANY meat;

3) Like we will see what affect all of that has on him after three months of playing baseball;

4) Like even if he realizes the problems then and feels like he needs more and changes his diet back, his system may be so confused that he will have problems for at least a month!

Maybe they knew that ;)
