Maybe there is a god...Liriano coming back?

Too many of you are looking at Liriano as a savior, I am afraid you are going to be disappointed. He will be OK but he is no where near the pitcher he was prior to his last injury and you should not expect those kind of performances from him this year. I would be particularly concerned about his first start since he is so anxious to show Minnesota management that he belongs in the bigs and that they made a mistake keeping him in AAA so long. He was doing well at Rochester but most everyone will tell you that league is very weak from a hitting perspective this year and that he was not as dominant as his record may indicate. Being a Twins fan I hope I am wrong but I don't think so. I am 100% a believer. He can do it! Sadly I don't think even his best for the rest of the season will be enough but one can dream

A very nice first outing but he struggled starting in the third inning and his slider is no where near what it was before the surgery. His fastball is down about 3 MPH. Still, he did much better than I expected.
