I knew you folks wouldn't fail me!!
All worthy selections for the bonus. Well, ALMOST all worthy selections.
The cheese-mobile looks like a winner to me, but I think Tom is voting for about 4-5 other nominations!!!
We'll have fun with this thread for now and hopefully we'll have an exact car to give away in the next few weeks. I just heard back from my contact last night and we are going to talk about this next week. This looks good and I think it will be a blast to follow all of the top teams in both contests to see if anyone can win both overall titles. We'll link up all of your Online Championship teams with your one main event team and may the best combination of the two (based on total rank points) win. Good luck all.

Bonus For Winning Main Event and Online Championship
Just a heads up: We have 153 signups for the Online Championship right now, with a goal of 300. Obviously we'll need to fill up each date perfectly with leagues of 12, but I do not see a problem with reaching our goal this year, especially thanks to these fine photos.
All of the signups for each date are on a separate thread pasted at the top of the General Discussion Forum, so check it out if you have interest in competing in this 12-team online national championship. Thanks all.

Okay, this beautiful thread needs to be bumped back up to the top.
We need to get a car in place for our bonus since we're now on pace to equal the main event in signups for the NFBC Online Championship.
What does a Ford Shelby convertible look like? I was talking with someone at Ford and I've decided to buy American and go with something slick. Let's see what that one looks like.
Any other suggestions. I mean good ones, this time.

Gentlemen, PLEASE. if one was to spend 50-75k on a vehicle, there is one OBVIOUS answer.
I'm talking about a 4 door sedan with a huge trunk and a twin-turbo charged engine that happens to boast 300 hp and 300 lbs. of torque. I'm talking about all-wheel drive. I'm talking about something you can drive the kids to school in, put multiple bags of clubs in the trunk, AND take to the race track while still averaging 26mpg. I'm talking about a warranty that includes EVERYTHING but tires including ALL scheduled maintenance (oil changes, brakes, filters, labor, etc.) for the first 4 years.
It is executive and it is sporty. It's the one car that NFBC contestants of all ages and demographics can appreciate. As you all know, the 2009 BMW 535xi is the best bang for your buck in this price range HANDS DOWN.
BMW 535i xDrive Sedan
3.0-liter, turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine
xDrive, intelligent all-wheel-drive
See all standard features
Base MSRP $53,400
Black Sapphire Metallic $0
Black Dakota Leather $0
Bamboo Anthracite wood trim $0
Cold Weather Package $750
Premium Package $2,200
Sport Package $1,400
STEPTRONIC automatic transmission $0
Navigation system $1,900
Destination & Handling: $825
Total MSRP as Built $60,475
If I knew anything about UBB codes I would have posted pictures.

Now we're getting somewhere. My contact said maybe the solution is a rotation of vehicles in the desired price range and we'll let the person who can win both overall titles pick Door No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4. That way our fine sponsor also gets to showcase several vehicles for the entire season. I think that's a winning solution.
Now let's find four options at an American manufacturer in the $75,000 range. Let's go SHOPPING!!!

Monty Ambrosius, does Door #5 have a goat behind it?
Trivia: other than a loaded Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, name an American car retails for 75K.

Greg,
I wish I knew how to cut and paste copies of pictures, but sadly I am a numbers guy.
American cars I would like to win in that price range (in no particular order):
1) Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ($75,000)
2) Cadillac CTS-V A sedan with 556HP and 0-60 3.9 Sec - $69,000
3) His Dodge Challenger SRT8 (425HP) - Hers SE (225HP)- Total $70,000.
That's all for now. I would love any of these all american muscle cars.
Pete

[/QUOTE]Sorry KOQ, I guess I don't know my American cars. I just know what I want to spend and make this a fun, fun bonus for all to watch during the season. I think we created a lot of interest for all 160+ teams in the NFFC with our $1 million bonus and everyone was rooting on the 11 teams that had a fair shot at the bonus down the stretch.
That's the goal of this bonus and if I can find a car manufacturer who wants to work with us on this it could be a lot of fun as we offer a lot of truck and car options to choose from. We'll put one sporty car front and center for the promotion and allow other options for the truck lover in all of us.
And nah, no boobie prizes with this bonus. Even Door No. 5 has a good option behind it.

Ok, Greg. You win. The BMW X5 4.8 is built in Spartanburg, South Carolina. American made by American workers. Loaded up it costs $75,000 and it has basically the same features, warranty, and benefits as the 5 series sedan only is a truck (with an optional 3rd row seat) and has more horsepower (360). This is clearly my vote.
Lance, pictures please?

FYI - Cadillac CTS-V just beat the BMW M5 on the BMW home court. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and looks great. Nothing wrong with American.
King - I love the new 370-Z too. But I was posting my favorite American cars. That said, I mellowed with the economy and age. I have a 2008 Cadillac CTS (not the V
) and actually bought a Malibu Hybrid this past summer too. I drive the Malibu more now because I can hang in the HOV lane on the Jersey Turnpike and shave 15 minutes each way to/from work. See you in the Big Apple.

Here you go!
2009 BMW X5 4.8
2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
2009 Cadillac CTS-V A sedan
2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8
Gotta love the retro-modern body styles. The classics were classics for a reason...some beautiful body's. Who started that, the VW Bug? Then the Mustang?
I can't wait for the 1971 Chevy Truck body to get modernized!!!

Bonus For Winning Main Event and Online Championship
Okay, I'm finalizing our insurance policy for this bonus. With so many NFBC teams taking out teams in the Online Championship for the Combined Standings prize, it's time to nail down this bonus to anyone who can win both overall titles.
Here's the deal: It's easy to guarantee a new car of your choice up to $75,000 in value. I wanted to specify one certain brand to showcase what you can win visually, but after talking with the car manufacturers you actually need permission to say that. Even with me trying to help promote a certain brand, I'm running into red tape that will prevent me from actually naming a car of our choice.
So the heck with it. We all know you can buy a good car for $75,000. So we'll guarantee any car of your choice up to that value. But even better, the insurer is going to help out and write in the policy your choice of the car or $75,000 cash. I need to finalize this soon, but that's the goal.
So we could indicate that the insured has a choice between vehicle or cash.
Okay, how does $75,000 for winning both main events sound?? I know it's not easy, but it sure will be fun to follow those who are close and will give even more reason to join both events. Enjoy and good luck all.
