How Did KDS Preferences Work Out?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 17, 2009 8:09 am

Here's another real good league with almost every single owner setting a KDS other than 1-15. Four owners got their first preference and nobody got a preference lower than 10th. Awesome.

** Average KDS preference was 5.0.

** Four owners got their first preference and 10 owners got a Top 5 preference. The lowest preference was 10, by two owners.

Here's the data:

No. 1 - 1st preference

No. 2 - 1st preference

No. 3 - 3rd preference

No. 4 - 1st preference

No. 5 - 4th preference

No. 6 - 6th preference

No. 7 - 7th preference

No. 8 - 2nd preference

No. 9 - 5th preference

No. 10 - 10th preference

No. 11 - 5th preference

No. 12 - 1st preference

No. 13 - 10th preference

No. 14 - 9th preference

No. 15 - 5th preference

How Did KDS Preferences Work Out?

That's a look at half the leagues from all four cities. No city stands out any differently than another. Each league in each city is unique. Sometimes you get a league where a lot of folks are 1-15, especially 10-15 after the first 9 picks, and other times you find leagues where everyone is across the board. That's what makes this fun and unique to each league.

Anyway, I'll let John do an overview on the first half that I've posted here and if I have time I'll do a few more. If 20 percent of the owners are getting their top preference and the vast majority are getting a Top 7 preference, we're at least doing something beneficial to most. It's not a perfect system, but at least from the data we've assembled here KDS has proven to help more folks than it's hurt. Well, it doesn't hurt anyone, but you get what I mean. ;)

Good luck all and have safe travels this week.

KDS = 75 Owners getting Top 3 KDS made a bad year for picking at the bottom better mission accomplished. Keep in mind in 2006 only one team got their 15th selection so some years it helps tremendously. One of the best things this contest has added IMO.
