Greg,
The NFBC has seen growth the last few years going from 195 teams to now 405 teams. Yet the first place league prize and overall prize hasn't changed with the growth. I know the first year there was possibly a loss taken and the 2nd place and 3rd place prizes have gone up, but when do you see the NFBC raising the 1st place league and overall prizes??

Greg,
Describe what your and Fanball's vision of the NFBC will look like in two to three years. We need details here (TV exposure, bigger prizes, more innovative leagues, etc.)

Greg,
Will there be any type of NFBC sponsored gatherings for either weekend in Las Vegas? What was this VIP party Ryan was talking about a while back??

Hi Greg,
Will there be a weekly NFBC podcast/radio show this season? Gekko, Roundtrippers, and the King of Queens did a great job last year hosting a weekly podcast for a couple of months!!

Greg,
My number one question in November remains my number one question in early February, what is the timeframe on when we can test out the FAAB system we will be using for this season?
We are only 8 weeks away and a demo FAAB site would likely calm a lot of fears out there and enable skeptical owners to sign up for more leagues (given that the FAAB interface works fine).
Thanks.

Greg, since you guys have worked so hard these past years to build your brand in this space, combined with the resources of Fanball now, has there been any thoughts of doing something creative (dream job) to counter the competition and stop them from gaining traction?

Greg - With two fantasy football companies going bankrupt in the past two years (and not paying their winners), what do you personally think about other companies (ffpc and wcoff) offering to "roll over" winnings into "an account" with the company and NOT providing a 1099 to you or the government for "rolled over" money? Is there a possibility of "Ponzi-like" situations going on?
I know your company response is that they are doing something illegal. I personally agree with that btw.

Gekko, I never knew about those problems. Until you brought them up. I've just trusted Greg all these years! Never thought of joining another contest like you.

totally offbase (as usual). do you REALLY have screws loose?? take your meds john. you "auto drafted" your team in the slow draft league you are in with me. obviously it's a piece of crap.
sounds like you have issues on how to deal with people. seek professional help and spare all of us your horseshit, cause that's what it is. you think you are being cute, but what you don't realize is that most of us are laughing AT YOU, not with you. sorry to break it to you.

Okay, are you ready for a one hour conversation? Let's get this rolling.
I have no answers prepared ahead of time, so I have to type fast. Please be patient for all my answers. Let's roll.

Is that still a goal? Personally, the bigger it gets (and the bigger the top prizes get) the more excited I'd be about it. Yes, that's still our goal and one of the reasons we initiated the Live/Online Double Play format. In some ways I'll admit that the current format is a bit confusing, but hopefully once we get the season rolling there will be no confusion. Basically, we could have just projected for 900 online signups after getting 600 last year, but our goal is to continue to grow the live events platform and thus we chose a modest increase from 600 to 720 teams online and then adding in the 300 live teams. 1,020 teams is a healthy increase, but we like this price point.
The $500 live price point has also brought in a lot of new NFBC members who are only doing this 12-team live event. I like that. Once they see how we do the live events, I think if they do well and possibly win a league title, they will join the NFBC main event in the future. So this is a good seeder program for our other live events, just like the Online Championship was as well.
Heck Peter Timdahl of Iola, Wisconsin just signed up for the NFBC main event and he entered for the first time in the NFBC Online Championship last year and liked it so much he stepped up to the Online Main Event this year. He's a perfect example of how this can work.

thank you I've already written that I think Brandon Wood has the opportunity to be this year's Kendry Morales, a breakout player who just needed the confidence to be a star. Morales did nothing with the Angels during three trial-and-error seasons and the same is true with Wood. He at least put up solid numbers at Triple-A last year (.293-22-72-65 in 99 games) and now just needs to take that next step. He can do it. I think if he gets off to a good start and can handle third base defensively, he could get on a roll and really surprise some folks. Remember, he's still just 24 and has all the talent in the world to make this work.

Why is Joe Blanton going so late
It look's like the Diamond league has taken many of the ultimate players do you think the ultimate will survive this year.On a good note it looks like the Super's are doing very well. Okay, this is with Tom's help:
Derek Lowe
Max Scherzer
Randy Wolf
Blanton is going so low because Gekko pushed him so hard on the NFBC boards last year. Everyone knows the reverse psychology of the slippery one and they aren't going down that path.
