No offense Mark. don't forget the cab ride where the driver's wipers didn't work and he had to stop at McDonalds to get a water to pour on the windshield!! :D

Cold as heck here! ;)

I had on a t-shirt, hoodie AND beanie prepping for 7:30am concrete this morning!

Pulled off the beanie once warmed up by 7:45am. (steam pouring up off bald head)

Pulled off the hoodie around 8:30am and my grey t-shirt was soaking with sweat.

Now, all done for the day sipping hot coffee and dipping some pumkin CAKE in it! Toasty and comfortable! :D

Ahhh, California! ;) (Great stories you guys!)

They finally closed my office at 1PM and it only took me a little over an hour to travel my typically 20 minute commute home.

Gotta luv this time of year on Long Island.

Roundtrippers: aka Rick Thomas

"the positive news is my draft prep is complete with minor adjustments due to signings and such. with 38 days till the draft if you are not almost done with your prep i am gonna kick your ass!!"

Big Guy, are you talking the trash? Must have been speaking to all of your ULTIMATE buddies. I sure hope you are going to "represent" a wee bit better in the Main Event this year! Now GET back in that restaurant and earn some extra cash to pay for those entries ..... especially the Main Event. Maybe you'll get ANOTHER chance in an ATTEMPT to kick butt!

Who loves you Rick? ;)

I just finished my walk around Lake Hollingsworth.

It was a cold 57 degrees.

Hey RICK:

I took your advice and went back to read the first edition of the 2010 Fantasy Sports Magazine once again, you are on the money it is a great read for NFBC players.

Great snapshot, especially on page 47. With all that cash, I'll be waiting for my invite to a Phils game this season. $48,250 on one check got me thinking, let me go to the OVERALL standings and find out where you kicked my butt

in the two common games we played against each other last season.

First, I went to the MAIN EVENT. I counted the eighteen names on top of mine, but I couldn't find you? I did find a Round Trippers, but it wasn't you? What is up with that?

Next, I shot over to the Online. Now, it wouldn't be fair to look for you above my best team as ONLY Lindy topped me. So, I thought I'd check my other two entries. No Rick Thomas ahead on my 24th overall squad. But alas, way DOWN in 56th palce I see your best team managed to top my worst team by 1.5 points. I'm going to have to use Lindy's cheatsheets a bit better this year. I guess winning all the money, you really did need to get lucky in league placement.

Looking forward to seeing you in Atlantic City. I'm going to help a friend. We really hope to draft with Gekko, but if you keep chatting it up we are going to put you on the list!

Be safe pal, no serving and protecting for a few more days. Looks like I have some work ahead of me. It is all good Brother! ;)

RT:

Sounds good, I've enjoyed the banter in between all of this darn shoveling.

Dunno about those "Big Boys" you speak about. As a man that plays the ponies now and again I've learned a valuable lesson that I apply to the NFBC games. Try to bet a little, to win alot. I think the Super Leagues will always remain the top of the risk level.

I'll be rooting you on in the high stakes format. Maybe we land in AC a bit early and twist Charlie and Tom into hitting the Irish Pub on St James Place.

Beer is cold, food is inexpensive and only a short Boardwalk stroll to Bally's. Easy with those backhands - can you reach up that high? ;)

Cya soon.

It looks like the Northeast is getting blasted again today. What is going on with this global warming? :D Wow. Can anyone out there tell us what it looks like outside your window today? Inquiring minds want to know.

A week from today I'm heading to Phoenix and meeting up with Childs for LABR League auctions. I can hardly wait to see the sun and some baseball action again. Wow.

Good luck all of you out East this weekend. Let's hope this is the end of it and by March we won't have any more of these snowstorms.

Now, the same can't be said for my neighbors down south?

Something changed overnight. It was wet, rainy and slushy for most of the day. Mayor Bloomberg announced late Thursday afternoon that schools would be open on Friday. Then right before I went to bed last night, I looked outside -- it was a complete whiteout, with heavy winds and blizzard conditions.

We've now had two snow days this month. I believe it's the first time that NYC schools have been closed for snow twice in the same winter -- much less the same MONTH.

Crazy winter. Can't wait for Spring...

I was an hour late to clear my driveway.....

Stay dry everyone,
