I won't be surprised to see Health Bell closing for the Twins and facing Adrian Gonzalez the new White Sox 1B on the first Friday of the season.

I say the man to replace Nathan (should he indeed be done for the season) is not currently on the Twins. Remember when Crain was supposed to threaten Nathan for closer role back in the day? Total crap shoot. I don't trust Rauch at all. Look at him...look deep into the eyes of the insane!!!

I'm afraid to find out what "Sesame Balls" are.

Wins being unpredictable as they are, I can hear Twins starting pitchers being downgraded now that Mr. Automatic is not finishing what they start.

Liriano would make a wonderful closer.

how many slow drafts were there so far, 20? that means 20 teams are crippled right from the start! the ol "kick to the jimmy"
and so it begins...

I would put him right there with Franklin and Aardsma, Jack.
At his age, with his guile, he should be offering his services as a closer. National League would be preferable, but Minnesota plays in a league with two teams that are even below N.L. standards in the Royals and Indians. The Tigers are not exactly murderers row either.
The Twins are a workman type team and that would suit Smoltz well. If I were Minnesota management, renting Smoltz for a year would be the best idea to me.

MLB is pushing for Kerry Wood.
Why?
Woods would be in that same non-trustable category.
10 million dollars AND giving up a prospect.
The Twins should go cheap. Smoltz, a cheap trade, or promoting from within seem to be their best options.
