how much extra prize money are we dealing with for 2 extra leagues? [/QUOTE]Sorry, I was enjoying a day with the family. Kind of a "Last Supper" before I head to Las Vegas for two weeks of NFBC action!!!
Let's just say Glenn's math is not correct. Like I said before, we have not met about this yet as we're all just working hard to fill everything up, but it's easy to do the correct math and see what we have left for 29 leagues after paying two more league prizes. It should allow us to get to 4x, 2x, 1x like we had before when we were at $1250 per entry and still have a little extra. We will NOT be paying fourth place league prizes.

We now have TWO SPOTS LEFT for the main event at the Bellagio on Saturday, March 27th as Eddie Gillis is going to do the back-to-back mains now with us. Eddie is already drafting live in Atlantic City on the 20th and he's grabbed a team in the main at the Bellagio Las Vegas on the 27th. That gives us 118 teams for the main event out there, TWO TEAMS short of an eighth full league!!! C'mon, who wants to fill up Las Vegas for us?
We are at 429 main event teams overall with a few other owners on the fence. Stay tuned and be ready for your draft picks this week.

Eno Sarris of Jersey City, New Jersey grabbed one of the last spots at Citi Field for the main event on Saturday, March 27th. We're now at 430 teams, leaving us with FIVE MORE SPOTS FOR THE MAIN EVENT!! Two of those are definitely going to Las Vegas so that we fill up eight full leagues at the Bellagio. I have a few teams on the hook already for those. That means there are THREE SPOTS left between Chicago and New York as we may have to hook those two cities up. We currently have 52 teams in Chicago and 95 in New York, so it could be half and half right now.
Anyway, let's get these last spots secured and get draft spots announced by Thursday at the latest. Thanks all.

We now have 53 teams in Chicago for the main event as NFBC veteran Robert Mihulka of Mt. Morris, Michigan has jumped into the Saturday, March 27th live event. Robert is already doing a bunch of satellite leagues and he jumped into the main event today before it filled up. Welcome aboard Robert and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Did I just read this correctly, we are pushing the KDS announcement back to Thursday now for the NFBC Championships?? I'm discouraged by this system, if this is the case.
There has been a lack of notice, in that I haven't received any emails about the deadlines being changed. Please clarify if possible. Thanks

The comment was not about setting KDS, but rather about draft spot and league annoucements for the second weekend events. The timing would be similar to previously reporting and consistent (within a few hours) of the same announcements for the first weekend.
Just my opinion, but hope this helps.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Rick McLaughlin of Avon, Connecticut grabbed one of the last spots in the NFBC's main event in New York on Saturday, March 27th as we now have 432 teams officially signed up and ready to go. Thanks Rick. We have three other teams close to joining, so we are going to hit 435 soon, I can tell. All is on pace to announce draft picks on Thursday morning. Welcome aboard Rick and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Okay, I just got off the phone with Rick McLaughlin and he competed in the NFBC's main event two years ago and returns this year after a one-year absence. Awesome.
We're now at 433 overall as August Thompson of Fairfield, California has jumped into the main event. August is a first-time member of the NFBC who has been watching us from afar and always wanted to get into a high-stakes contest. He was interested in the $1,000 satellite league, but will do the main event instead since those are full. Welcome aboard August and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and $5,000 league prize.

Terry Travis of Bernardsville, New Jersey beat the deadline last night by signing up for the NFBC's main event in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 27th. Terry is a returning NFBC member who will be joining us at the Bellagio next weekend, helping us get eight full leagues there. Welcome aboard Terry and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
We are just about officially there. One more phone call to make and the field is full. Thanks all and look for draft spots tomorrow morning at 11:00. I'll do my best to wake up on time in Las Vegas on March Madness opening day!!! Oh man, that's after St. Patrick's Day and green beer in Las Vegas tonight!!
Good luck being on time, Greg!!

Michael Gebby of Las Vegas, Nevada just signed up for the NFBC Classic in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 27th as I was sitting here at the computer, beating out someone else I was trying to get in. That gives us 120 live bodies in Las Vegas for the second weekend, eight full leagues at the Bellagio.
We just have to finalize one of the original signups in New York now and then we're good to go. We will run the leagues and run KDS today and then sit on the draft spots until tomorrow at 11 am ET for all of you to see at the same time. The only way you'll get an early draft pick out of me is if you buy me green beer at the Bellagio tonight!!!
Nah, just kidding. I'm up early today, so I'll be early to bed tonight!!
Good luck all and thanks to everyone who came through with flying colors. I never had any doubt this would work out and now I'm sure it will all work out.

Greg -- let me just say you've done an amazing job. Your tireless work ethic helped put NFBC in a position to show everyone involved just how serious we are about growing this business. The entire team at NFBC: Greg, Tom & Geoff deserve a standing ovation.
Nice work everyone!
And thank you - our entire NFBC family for making 2010 a huge success!!!

Greg and Tom always do a great job. We've come to expect it, and sometimes take it for granted.
They are always there at all hours doing something/anything for the benefit of the NFBC and its participants.
Geoff, you've done well fielding all the questions and always bein there for all the troubles that users go through when getting acclamated to a new site. A job well done...and still in progress.
But, I think who really deserves the lion's share of the applause this year is you. You, the NFBC player. None of us are accustomed to a lot of the new things that have gone on. Through it all, beit the new venues, the new 'boss', the new sites, the troubles Fanball has had in getting some things together, through it all, you've stayed true to your school and probably more importantly, never wavered in your trust of Greg and company.
The changes have been many and the bitches have been minimal. Even with all the changes, the participants for the Main Event has grown to record numbers. Another reason that any company would be proud to have us as their customer base.
So, take a bow, NFBC participant!!
