First Weekend Draft Spots To BE Announced: Friday, 11 ET

On the other hand, the second weekend has the bigger advantage of drafting later (knock knock...imagine if a top pick goes down between the weekends?) so the playing field is more than even. There is a 15+ page thread somewhere that gives multiple opinions about which of the two weekends has the advantage. It's clearly not cut and dry.

The problem is that we wont know if there is or is not an advantage for years.

I will also announce the Live Double Plays that are full in St. Louis and Atlantic City for Friday, March 19th. I'll likely do those before the Main Events tomorrow. Might be a good kickoff to the morning. ;)

Will the information be readily available to track on how 1st week teams do versus 2nd week teams?

i expect the childs clones will be out in full force that 2nd weekend. whoever he drafts in weekend one, sheep move up their rankings. it's only natural. bbbbbhaaaaaa!

if childs is smart (AND I KNOW HE IS), there's enough players in the pool to design different plans for both weekends.

Okay, one hour to DRAFT SPOTS!!!

All leagues are full, loaded in a Word document and ready to be revealed. All KDS choices have been analyzed, double proofed by hand and with our spiffy new automated system, and even sent to Ryan and Kyle for some video enhancing. The videos will be very cool even after the fact because then for the first time you'll see where you were randomly selected. Today you get to see your draft spots, but the videos will show where you were taken by the computer and how that affected your draft spots. You'll also see who in your league got their preferred spots and where those are. Pretty cool, huh? ;)

Enjoy all. Double Play Live league draft spots coming before that and maybe even the Ultimate Auction League. Thanks all for your patience and grab a beer this morning. This should be fun. :D

Just like in the Online Championship last year, each league will be identified by the draft date in the overall standings. So you should be able to see March 20th, Las Vegas League 1 and March 27th, New York League 6 next to the owners' names. We did this for the Online Championship, too.

The Online Championship didn't have any trend as far as folks excelling later in the draft schedule or earlier in the schedule. We don't know if that will hold true here or not and I think most agree they don't even know which weekend holds the advantage. Let the games begin and we'll find out, I guess. ;)

The holdup with Atlantic City and the uncertainty with 1 or 2 owners in Las Vegas didn't allow us to pick these ahead of time to do the videos, edit them and post them. However, Ryan is going to videotape these today and then post them later, maybe even early next week. But they will still be great to look at on the site all year long and will be good for you guys to see how the random order played out after you see the draft spots.

Sound good?

Old fashioned message board posting today followed by emails to all. Enjoy.

Greg- I am drafting in an online draft in 5 days (9 p.m.). Our league if full and assigned, but we do not have draft spots yet. I hoped to do some prepping over the weekend- will our draft spots come out at 11 also?

. :D very cool nice touch- best of both worlds. You do not have to wait for your slot longer, but you get to see how it came about.
