Nice job Mark...helluva year for you

Mark,

I will have to admit I'm jealous of your success this season but if anyone deserves it, it's you for all of the time and effort you put into the NFBC.

I actually prepared more than ever this year, and I finished in the top 5 or better in 7 of my 8 leagues. Most of them were $125 leagues and not nearly the caliber of the leagues that you succeeded in. But I do believe that this game will reward you for hard work and preparation.

Again, congratulations on one amazing season.

That success rate is remarkable.

I think it is safe to say that Mark takes the unofficial title of best player in the NFBC, at least imo.

Does anyone know if the Padilla Moyer deal affected the standings?

Hopefully that is indeed the case. That would be a shame if that mattered.

It didn't cost us a dime. If it had, I'd probably have a different approach. You certainly can't argue with the guys success. It just started the year off and the start of my fantasy baseball hobby in a very bad place.

Make no mistake about it. There are probably only a couple guys that are better than him at fantasy baseball. His season was incredible. But that has nothing to do with whether or not he won the amount he should have won. He knows the answer I am sure. I would just like to know the answer. Nobody has a right to complain as the NFFC said to do what you would do had the problem not occurred. The fact that I don't believe him for a second when he claims he would have done that anyway doesn't change that. We all know if a two start Padilla would have been played over a one start Moyer. I just hope nobody lost any money because of that "great decision."

BTW, great job getting Finley in the auction. I walked in planning to spend around $30 for him. I think I took you up to the mid 30's, but you got me on him. Good job!

It's probably time to put this issue to bed.

Thanks,

Glenn

Great job. Beer! :D

I'm in!! What city did you draft in? I wouldn't mind getting a small group together next year and doing something after the draft.

And thanks for the salute!! I'm going to decompress for a few weeks and then start hitting the prep. Money never sleeps, right? ;)

I still haven't done the main draft, only the slow ones. I am probably going to do the auction in NYC in 2011.

I'll send you a PM about a beer soon.

Damn, you two are starting prep already???

There goes focusing on my neglected football teams. Time to start on the projections. I guess a 1/2 day mental break will have to be good enough. ;)
