Last month I saw an orthopedic dr for a 4th opinion on my neck. He said he would not recommend surgery if my symptoms stay the same and that over time my body will heal the herniation itself. I see him for a followup next week.

If you would like to discuss or investigate a more conservative yet effective approach for the disc before surgery, PM me. That's my line of work. (Atlas= top vertebrae of the spine, get it?)

Here is my story actually happened earlier this evening. Couple of things for background: I am not real comfortable at a fancy cocktail party. As a sidenote I always feel sorry for the "important" people in the room they never get a moment of peace at these things. Pretty much one of the only subjects I like to talk a lot to a stranger about is baseball.

So I am at one tonight hanging in a corner thinking I would rather be at the Bellagio having lunch with my buddy Andy Nolan or Dan than be here. The most important person in the room (charity event and they are guest of honor) makes it over to me for a quick polite conversation. I choose to use my 15 seconds to ask him about his thoughts on the Adrian Beltre signing because I know he is a big Ranger fan. Well it turns in to a longer conversation of 2 guys just chatting about baseball for awhile. I am loving it because I look up to this man and love talking baseball. Good combo for me. He seems to be enjoying it because it is 3 minutes of "normal talk". So end of story. I guess the only tidbit that you might find interesting is George W Bush told me tonight that he is worried that Beltre is a little injury prone for his tastes but Young's defense was awful in his opinion last year.

[/QUOTE]He actually had a moment tonight where someone asked him what he missed least about the whitehouse? He got confused said he already answered it (someone asked what he missed most). I can tell you this love him or hate him the guy does not take himself very seriously.
