Big picture, John, it isn't a matter of football vs. baseball or lotsa time or little time or this rule change or that.
For the next year or so, high stakes fantasy baseball and football comes down to trust, thanks to those swindlers at WaCkOFF.
Before thinking about any rule change in football or baseball, most customers are going to be concerned about getting paid.
Greg and Tom have a leg up on everybody in that department.

I would be in the camp of having everything set weekly or everything set again on Friday. Changing out batters, but not pitchers doesn't seem normal to me. Yet, I like changing batters, so I think changing pitchers on Friday is a good thing. If people want it the last two weeks, then why not all year?
I have no use for this 25 move business.

In my mind, the proposed changes are not "better" or "worse", only different. I am for leaving the rules as they are.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Why not just have a simple DL rule
If a player goes on the DL during the week he can be replaced with a player from the bench the day after the transaction is reported on mlb.com
The technology exists (actually it can do far more but I am not in favor of the reverse of this rule as the intent is to have a team attempt to have a full lineup not to make roster shifts, avoid starts, etc.) and the rule and move would be pretty straight forward (ie you can move a player to accomodate this but can only move one player to the lineup to replace the DLed player.
