92 points Congrats to John and Steve! Very Well done in an incredibly close draft. Even finishing 7th it would not have taken much for Dave and I to have won and the same goes for a half dozen or more other teams. One comment would be that these results should just about end the debate of where the advantage lies in a draft of this nature. The best strategy won, not the best draft slot.

Nice job Steve. Well done and deserved. Don't spend it all in one place.
When do I get a chance at redemption?

When do I get a chance at redemption? More importantly, if we do this again, I challenge my co-manager to compete on his own and see who's really responsible for our not winning this!

FWIW,, the results were delayed two minutes because I originally had LARRY Parrish and not LANCE in for Nevada. He would have lost with Larry. Amazing what 3 letter can do.
I am going to write pretty extensively about this for my site.
And finally, sorry for the gratuitous plug, but if you found the tracker useful, I am going to make it available for free for those wanting to use it in slow drafts and I am planning on releasing my first set of projections on or about Dec.1 and I will include the tracker with the initial offerings if you do not have your own projections. The draft kit will cost money though, sorry.

I've been thinking about the blind rounds during drafts of this kind.
They are needed, otherwise team one, two, and three would have a big advantage at the end of the draft in knowing exactly the numbers they'd need to move ahead of others.
One way to get around the blind rounds (of which I would suggest only two for the next draft), is to draft 25 rounds. Then 'declare' to an outside party or trustee in secrecy who your two 'benched' players are.
Just a suggestion...

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I'm ready to start looking at 2012. I'd like to run this back again next October with the same teams and try to somehow flip the draft order.

Sorry, needed one last gratuitous Mets plug.
Great fun everyone. Whether we do this again or not, it was a blast.

Congratulations Steve! Thanks Shawn for putting this game together. This was awesome and a lot of fun. Thanks Dan and Todd for your efforts. The only downside to this seems to be my inability to quit thinking about this. I should be thinking about work but found myself thinking about this all the time.

My guess is once the optimum strategy is fleshed out and I believe there is one, then spots 1-4 will be easily the most valuable and I am not sure 3RR will be enough to overcome the advantage.
Or, I could be wrong

I spent the last three weeks locked in on this. It was helping me get over my 15th place finish in this past years Main Event.
But now I gotta spend the next 5 months getting over this 14th place finish
