The May issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine has an article on the new ballparks in Philadelphia and San Diego. Basically it says that Philadelphia's fences are in slightly and the fans are closer to the field, thus fewer foul balls will be caught. But the stadium is very similar to Veteran's Stadium and thus there should be little to no effect on offense or pitching.

San Diego, on the other hand, is a slightly better hitter's park than it was before. Petco Park should produce better offensive numbers, which could lead to slightly worse pitching numbers for Padre hurlers.

The oddsmakers have your odds at 300:1 right now, Gordon. Any chance you're willing to put down $1,250 on yourself? You gotta like those odds.

Good luck and you know I mean it. But your chances of winning are no better than anyone else's. As I said on a previous post, we'll have to go golfing sometime as I know you'll be going "MISS IT, MISS IT" over every one of my putts.

You see any potential breakout SB guys? Guys who can get to 40 SB. Based on your LABR draft, I'd imagine you like Redman. Anyone else?

I say Castillo makes a run at 40 this year, even with the more conservative McKeon driving the ship all year. He had a bum hip all year last year, and has been looking better in camp so far.

Any other potentials you like?

Both parks also have shorter fences, so as to get those ESPN SportsCenter grabs for the highlight reels. Actually, the fences at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia are in the 6 to 8 feet range in left field to center field, which are 4 to 6 feet shorter than before. The ones in right field are now 12 to 13 feet. Interesting.

I think Castillo will run more too. I'm hopeful that Tike Redman playing a full season in the majors will lead to lots of steals, but at that point in the draft I had to get him. I'll give this one some more thought and get back to you on it. But I better not give out too many strategy items since I don't want to affect the NFBC draft.

I am just curious how many of the loudest talkers do u know personally? THe list I am considering is Gekko (a small lizard not a shark) and Dyv who uses sarcasm so far above Just Lookin that JL is still looking for it...and the idiot of the bunch (IMHO) Just Lookin? I appreciate Dyv's sarcasm and would be happy to buy him a round in Vegas....

STATS has the game page all done and I need to get one more item on there. I've been swamped today, but I promise to get that done tonight. With any luck, you'll be able to pick your password, ID and team name for the game site by Wednesday.

In the NL LABR draft, Albert Pujols went for $42, Todd Helton for $40, Juan Pierre for $39 and Eric Gagne for $36. Barry Bonds was the first player thrown out and everyone was still feeling everyone else out and he went for $34. I didn't want him, but should have pushed him up to $35. By the way, Scott Rolen went for $35, Edgar Renteria for $34 and Jim Thome for $33.

Let me just say that many of the loudest NFBC posters have e-mailed me directly several times and all seem like GREAT guys. I think you'd like to have a beer with all of them, and that certainly includes Gordon. I think he likes to needle and some guys can't take it. I can and find him humorous. But that's just me.

I have to go and pick up my girls from school, so this session is closed. Let's do this again tomorrow at 3 p.m. EST and maybe we can even schedule two a day through this week. Thanks guys.

Greg, sorry I missed the chat, but I have a slight problem with the way the Urbina situation is being handled in auction leagues. As you said, he went with the first pick (and rightfully so) in the reserve round of both LABR drafts. Doesn't this give an unfair advantage to the team picking first in the reserve rounds? True, his stats will only count in the league he signs in, but isn't this situation along the same lines as a player getting traded from the AL to the NL? Why not give all teams a shot at him--the whole point of auction leagues--and let all teams dictate the market value for someone that may not accumulate any stats for them at all?

As always, thanks for your prompt attention to these seemingly trivial matters.

I certainly understand your position there and I am making two different rules. I can certainly lean toward your thinking. I will pose this question on the Rotisserie League area of the Message Board and get a feel for this. I don't want to dictate any rule and believe me I wasn't happy when someone else got the first pick in LABR as it could influence the league standings. But that has been the interpretation of this roster spot in LABR for years, not that we have to play under those same rules. Thanks for the insight.

Greg I know you get asked this all the time but how many people do we have signed up? This past week a lot of people signed up, with a good week will we reach 300? I hope we do, everything the NFBC has done has been great.
