Let's give it up again for New York as New York City's own Gregory Paley has claimed home field advantage with his signup for the NFBC draft at the Javits Center. It's been a fun run of New York signups today and for the last week. Welcome to the very interesting NFBC family, Gregory (my mom still calls me that) , and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.

I live in Michigan - and the thought of soaking up 80 degree weather in 3 weeks is just too appealing to pass up...

Eddie Gillis of Rhode Island has just signed up for the NFBC draft in New York after having previously signed up for the AL Auction League in New York. Eddie is Ready for the day-night doubleheader and encourages all New Yorkers to fill up that Auction League. Eddie also wants to do an NFBC mock draft with 1-3 minutes per pick and encourages anyone who is setting one up to call him at 401-935-5993. Take care of that bad back Eddie and welcome to the NFBC main event. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.

Bob Migliozzi (hope I spelled it right) of Illinois is our latest signup for the NFBC draft in Chicago. Bob saw that his friend Craig Neustadt just won $100 and couldn't resist the lure of a Ryne Sandberg autographed photo and a chance to win our Fence Sitter's Giveaway. We're glad to have you as part of our growing NFBC family, Bob, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.

Now we're cruisin'. John Menna of Wise Guys Fantasy Baseball has just committed to the National Fantasy Baseball Championship draft and to the NL Auction League in Las Vegas. We now have 10 NL Auction League teams in Las Vegas, so we just have space for three more. Welcome John to the growing NFBC family and best of luck beating your fellow Wise Guy, Gene McCaffrey, and the other competitors for the $100,000 grand prize. Oh, and best of luck winning the $7,500 first place prize in the NL Auction League.

There, that's four for this morning. Keep the blue light special going!!!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and thank Greg for the warm welcome(I wonder if you're getting any sleep, Greg)-my friend of over 20 yrs and fellow fantasy freak, Scott Alper will fly to my home state,New Jersey from Atlanta and we're anxious to hit NYC to pillage and conquer the NFBC. You've got to be confident from the start, right? As avid & frustrated Mets Fans, I am sure we'll get pummeled by those faithful to that team in the Bronx but with Giambi in 'roid withdrawal, Derek & A-Rod not quite being best buds, Lieber's groin, & Bernie's appendix, maybe they'll only win 95 instead of 115. Look forward to talking baseball with everybody. Jeff Goeke

Here we go again in Chicago, which is good news. Let's give it up for Todd Nord of upper northwest Minnesota, who has agreed to drive to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center to compete in the NFBC draft. Welcome to the very diverse NFBC family, Todd, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.

Ah-hah, we captured one of those Fence Sitters. Chris Plouffe of Georgia finally couldn't resist all of the offers we had out there and took the plunge for the NFBC draft in New York. Chris is going to fly specifically to New York for our draft and is ready to compete for the $100,000 grand prize. Welcome to our growing family Chris and best of luck in the battle for the league and grand prize.

Gekko -- You little guppy. Why do you insist on this make-believe nonsense about you being some kind of shark?

You shouldn't have let your respectable finishes against those 8th graders and postal workers go to your head You'll get your lunch handed to you by real players here.

At least you can pretend you're a shark for a few more weeks, until your team's standing makes you look even more foolish than you make yourself look already.

Imagine if my team finishes higher than your team this year (if you even have a team)... It hurts doesn't it? Your hopes dashed, your dreams down the toilet.

It'd take quite an imagination to picture losing to a guppy like you.

What you lack in intelligence in your posts, you sure make up for in persistence. Why not give the message board a break from your obnoxiousness for a while?

PS:To those who think he is funny and helps the site , he is inpart if not all the reason my self and 3 others Refuse to play in Snakedrafts or scoresheet . not that it means much but 3 signups could make or break a league for the guys looking for a great league

Never! Sounds like you haven't ventured out in the real world yet. When you do, it will eat you alive. Perhaps, you and your three buddies should stick to drafting in your basement where everything is in a controlled environment.

He's obnoxious in the extreme, that's for sure!

I've wasted enough time replying to him for now. I wish he'd spare us all for a while...

If he somehow gets lucky enough to be in the running to win the NFBC, then he can bring his bad attitude back to talk some smack, but until then, he ought to can it.

I, for one, have had enough of his obnoxious posts!

Didn't John Menna already sign up for the NFBC draft with Gene McCaffrey about a month ago?

Gene McCaffrey signed up about a month ago to do the NFBC draft and the AL Auction League in Las Vegas, but all along I knew that John was also going to do the NFBC and the NL Auction League alone. I talked with both guys at Ron Shandler's AFL Symposium in Phoenix last October and there was no doubt at the time both guys were going to do both leagues. They're Wise Guys, what else would you expect? Gene might bring a partner, but I think John is going solo on both.

But did you say THREE others also refuse to play? Damn! Greg you better start refunding the 200 plus players their money cause John just killed the NFBC with him and his THREE friends not playing. OK Greg, I think maybe we can go on without them but only if you keep up with the sign up bonuses. It will be hard and the competition will fall off without them but we must continue forward.

Mr. Unregistered John, if you can't stand the heat, stay away from the kitchen!

And of course you all know what bad boy Jack said, "those who speak in metaphors can shampoo my crotch!"

Keep up the great work Gekko! Your posts are an inspiration to us all. ;) :D
