We're glad to welcome our newest member to the growing NFBC family as William Miller of Baltimore, Maryland will be joining us for the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 24th. We now have 118 teams for that First Weekend Main Event, leaving us with ONLY 2 GUARANTEED SPOTS LEFT!! William admits that he's part of the "Lindy Effect" as he read about Lindy's accomplishments in the New York Times and said he thinks it's possible that he can also win the $100,000 grand prize!! I love it. He's a poker player and said it's the Chris Moneymaker Effect in fantasy baseball and he's buying it!! Welcome aboard William and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're moving closer to a third full Main Event Online League on the Second Weekend and a full 22nd Main Event League overall as we welcome another veteran team back in 2012. Nick Sackett of Alhambra California and co-manager Brian Slack return after a solid season in 2011. Nick and Brian are veteran NFBC owners who led The Hello Kitties to a 2nd place finish in Las Vegas League 6 with 106.5 points, while placing 70th overall with 2,592.0 points. We're glad to have you guys back once again and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

WE NOW HAVE ONE GUARANTEED SPOT LEFT FOR THE FIRST WEEKEND MAIN EVENT!! We have 119 teams signed up now for that weekend. Our latest returnee is the tag team of Bryan Vogel of San Jose, California and Jules McLean of Los Angeles, California. They are teaming up for a First Weekend Main Event team Online. Bryan wasn't in the Main Event last year, but Jules competed in the First Weekend Online and led her Pimpin Trigger Jr. team to an 11th place finish in League 2 with 62 points. These two minds are now shooting for a money finish and even the top prize. Welcome back Bryan and Jules and best of luck in the hunt for the $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

NFBC veteran Michael Sonday of St. Paul, Minnesota has drafted in Chicago the last two years and really wants to return there, but business is keeping him at home this year. Still, he wouldn't miss the NFBC Main Event for anything, so he's grabbing one of the last available spots in the First Weekend Online Main Event. Michael first joined the NFBC in 2010 and led the overall standings for several weeks as a rookie. He won an NFBC league title as a rookie and finished 5th overall, but last year he had the Sophomore Slump as his Jacque Itch Jones team finished 13th in Chicago League 1 with 52 points. But he's excited to be back in the NFBC Main Event this year and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're glad to welcome back another old friend to the NFBC's Main Event as Marc Ewing-Chow of Los Angeles, California returns to our signature event. Marc is a past NFBC and NFFC owner who didn't compete in baseball last year, but we're glad to have him back in the Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Welcome back Marc and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Our Windy City signups have been few and far between, but we did move one step closer to filling up a second full league there today by welcoming back James Fares of New Lenox, Illinois. James is an NFBC veteran who competed in Chicago last year and he's going after "The Lindy" this year with entries in the Main Event and the Online Championship. Last year, his Sons of Pitches finshed 8th in Chicago League 2 with 76.5 points and placed 198th overall. Welcome back James and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

C'MON MIDWEST DRAFTERS, LET'S FILL UP AT LEAST 3 LEAGUES IN CHICAGO!!! Get locked and loaded and SIGN UP NOW!!! Thanks.

We also moved a step closer to a second full league in Mahwah on the First Weekend as we welcome back another NFBC veteran to the Main Event. Dennis and Mark Laronga of Jersey City, New Jersey are returning to the First Weekend Main Event at the Sheraton Mahwah after last year competing in Atlantic City. Team Laronga struggled to a 13th place finish in Atlantic City 1 last year with 56.5 points, but Dennis and Mark are ready to win it all this year. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

We're now working on our 9th First Weekend Main Event league and will likely close that weekend off at 135 teams. Don't delay much longer if you want to compete in that event on Saturday, March 24th.

We topped 330 total signups this afternoon when Matt Hickok of Owings Mills, Maryland grabbed spots in both weekends of the Main Event. Matt is an NFBC veteran who also competed in both Main Events Online last year. He's been doing a few Slow Drafts this year to gear up for the Main Events and almost went to Chicago on the Second Weekend, but opted to stay online. Last year, his john rocker's revenge finished 5th in Online League 2 of the First Weekend with 101 points and placed 106th overall with 2,386.0 points. john rocker's revenge in Online 2 of the Second Weekend didn't have the same type of success as it finished 13th in the league. Welcome back Matt and it's always good to PLAY TWO!! Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize.

Wow, what a day for the Main Event!! There's no doubt that folks are hearing that we're headed toward a sellout sooner rather than later. These spots are going fast. Let's give it up for our newest member of the growing NFBC family as Jason Nichols of Gun Barrel City, Texas has just signed up for the NFBC Main Event Online on Saturday, March 31st. Jason is competing in the NFBC for the first time, but going after "The Lindy" with entries in the Main Event and the Online Championship. Welcome aboard Jason and best of luck in the hunt for this year's league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

Let's get right to last night's signups as we had another big night. We added three teams to the Chicago Main Event last night and should close out that second full league shortly. Our latest entrant is the brother tandem of Mark and Eric Wigent of Wyoming, Michigan. Mark and Eric have been NFBC members for the last couple of years and they return to Chicago for the Main Event doubleheader on Saturday, March 31st, competing in the Classic and the NFBC XII at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. Last year, their Minus Minus Quibble team finished 3rd in Chicago League 1 with 99.5 points and placed 91st overall with 2,493.0 points. Great job guys and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes this year and the $150,000 in grand prizes. Win both overall titles and there's another $75,000 cash bonus just waiting for ya!! Thanks.

The best part about all of the signups this year is the arrival of so many new players to the NFBC contests. Here's another new arrival and for the Main Event, no less. Let's give it up for Tom Amoroso of St. Clair Shores, Michigan as he will be joining us at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago for the NFBC's Main Event on Saturday, March 31st. This is Tom's first venture into the NFBC and he's doing it right by joining our signature event. Welcome aboard Tom and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

Let's stay in Chicago and welcome another Main Event entrant to our rising total. Dominic Cirigliano of Columbia Station, Ohio is an NFBC and NFFC veteran who didn't compete in our live events last year and in fact competed in just one draft league in 2011. Of course, he won the title in that league, winning his March 23rd Online Championship league and $1,300 with 91.5 points. Now he's back to win "The Lindy" with a Main Event team in Chicago and another Online Championship team. Welcome back Dom and best of luck in the hunt for both league prizes and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

We're working on our second NFBC XII League in New York City on Saturday night, March 31st and would LOVE to have multiple leagues for the Main Event Doubleheader that day in the Big Apple. C'mon, LET'S PLAY TWO!! We now have 92 teams entered for the Main Event Doubleheader as we welcome the tag team of Pat DePirro of Chicago, Illinois and Doug Cassidy. They are signed up for the Main Event in New York already and they added the NFBC XII today. Pat won his Online Double Play League last year and finished 44th out of 780 teams in the Online Championship. We're glad to welcome back another NFBC Charter Member and a returning league champ to the 2012 events as David Zwickel of New York, New York is back for his 9th straight season. David and his brother Gregg have had great success in the past and they are back for both Main Events Online this year, taking the Main Event on March 31st and the NFBC XII on Sunday, March 25th. David said that work is getting in the way of him competing live or in the auctions, but he's still doing all he can to draft online and compete in both formats. He should based on his past success. Team Zwickel finished 2nd in Online League 1 of the First Weekend last year with 113 points and finished 18th overall with 2,970.0 points. Team Zwickel also won a league title in the March 27th Live Double Play Online with 94.5 points, placing 26th overall in the Live Double Play and 89th overall in the Online Double Play. Great job guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for both league titles and the $150,000 in grand prizes.

This is their first venture into the NFBC and we are glad to have them on board. He's been checking out our site all off-season, is impressed with the contest and decided to jump in today. NICE. WOW, what a day for signups!!! I can't keep up on the Welcome Wagon. But I'll try my best with a lot of fast typing in the next weekend before calling it a day!! :D

It's great to welcome back another of our 60 or so NFBC Charter Members from 2004. It's sooooo cool to see those 60+ guys coming back for a 9th straight season. They are the ones who helped us build the NFBC. One of them includes Martin Bedell of Poughkeepsie, New York as he returns to both Main Events and the debut NFBC XII. Marty is going to try to make it to New York City on the Second Weekend, but for now he's taking both Mains Online and the Sunday, April 1st NFBC XII Online. Marty has been with us every step of the way and he's back after a rough 2011 season. alizack finished 13th in New York League 1 last year with 62 points and his alizack team finished 9th in the New York Live Double Play. But he's back for two Mains and the 12-teamer and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for all of these league titles, the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus.

We've had a nice push in Chicago the last 24 hours, gaining 4 new entrants for the Main Event. Our latest returnee is Russel Wyatt of Oswego, Illinois, a veteran of our Windy City Main Event. Russel is returning for the Main Event at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago on Saturday, March 31st despite a rough 2011 season. His Navel Lint struggled in Chicago League 1, but we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,600 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

John Pausma of Tinley Park, Illinois is another veteran NFBC owner who grabbed a spot in the NFBC XII today, selecting Tuesday, April 3rd at 7 p.m. EST Online. John becomes our 95th owner to have teams in both Main Events as he's already signed up for the St. Louis Main Event on the First Weeend. John knows something about 12-team leagues as he was our national champion in 2010 in the NFFC Online Championship. That one earned him $50,000. Welcome aboard to the NFBC XII John and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000 league prize and the $50,000 grand prize.
