tom, do you get tired with all the requests asking you for auction updates and picking auction "draft orders"?

Yeah Tom,

Hurry up and pick those auction draft slots, so that I can decide who I can get from my cheatsheet in the 1st round of the reserve draft, my 313th ranked player or my 325th ranked player. That may make or break my season. :D

Hojin Kyung is already entered in the NFBC's main event in Las Vegas and now he's added the $650 Mixed Auction League to his weekend of fun. Hojin becomes the 25th owner to sign up for that event, leaving us with just five more spots to fill up the second Mixed Auction League in Las Vegas on Friday, March 18th. We'll get there, trust me. We appreciate Hojin coming aboard for this auction league as well and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

we are now down to 12 counting both NY and Chi - and that is assuming all 12 would be willing to teleconference -- and we are losing instead of gaining --- what is the minimum number of teams for the league to roll with?

But if you have concerns, Greg and I are both here and would be happy to talk to you right now if you'd like.

well my main concern is i am not sure i want to auction with 5 guys in a room and a telephone. Kind of defeats the whole idea of a live auction. Just want to make sure this doesnt wind up being 5 guys in NY and 5 in chi and 2 in vegas or something for a 12 tm auction

we started the day with 8 in ny and 7 in chi

in middle of day we have 6 and 6

we are a week away from the auction

im a little cautious right now

Okay, we've added a 14th owner for the New York-Chicago Mixed Auction League on Friday, March 18th with the addition of another new member to our growing NFBC family. Let's give it up for Robert Coffee of Lorton, Virginia, who will be drafting live at the New York Hilton in this debut mixed auction league. Robert understands the setup as we'll be starting at 4 p.m. EST and 3 p.m. CST with a current list of 8 New York owners and 6 Chicago owners. Let's get that last spot filled and select the nomination order. Thanks Robert for trusting and supporting us and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

It's been a wild day around here as we just received three signups in the last 10 minutes for the $650 National League auction between New York and Chicago. That will be a teleconference auction between the two cities, starting at 4 p.m. EST and 3 p.m. CST. Our 11th owner in that league is a fellow Cheesehead as Sam Thornton of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin will be at the Embassy Suites Chicago-O'Hare on Friday, March 18th for the NL Auction. Sam is new to our family of high-stakes events and we welcome him to the gang. Thanks for your trust and support, Sam, and best of luck in the hunt for the $3,750 first place prize. We now have seven NL Auction League owners in Chicago!!!

We're glad to welcome our 12th owner in the New York-Chicago NL Auction League as Mike Brangaccio has joined the event. Mike will be drafting at the New York Hilton at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 18th. He is new to our family of high-stakes events, but he comes on the recommendation of one of our most valued customers! Mike becomes the fifth owner in New York and the 12th overall for this auction. Thanks for your trust and support, Mike, and best of luck in the hunt for the $3,750 first place prize.

We have closed out the New York-Chicago NL Auction League with the return of Bob Sherman of Lesicester, Vermont to the event. Bob competed in the New York AL Auction League last year, with his Team Sherman finishing ninth. He's happy to try his hand in the 13-team NL Auction League this year and will be the sixth team drafting from the New York Hilton on Friday, March 18th starting at 4 p.m. EST. Thanks for your trust and support, Bob, and best of luck in the hunt for the $3,750 first place prize.

In 1977 I attended Bill Cofield's basketball camp at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an assistant coach by the name of Bo Ryan liked my enthusiasm and called me Ferocious Ambrosius. Little did he know I'd amount to nothing on the basketball court but still be playing 28 years later and little did I know he'd become the best head basketball coach at Madison in school history. Pretty amazing trek we've both taken! :D

Okay, let's officially welcome our new NFBC members. Our 294th signup for the main event came from Kelly Uganski of Muskegan, Michigan, who already was signed up for the $650 Mixed Auction League in Las Vegas and the NFBC Ultimate Auction League on Sunday, March 20th. Kelly admits that he loves auctions more than serpentine drafts, but he wants to meet the best players in the country and he wants to compete against the best and just couldn't help himself when he saw how close to 300 we were. He called late this afternoon and took a spot in Las Vegas, our 131st member out there. Thanks Kelly once again for your trust and support and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Okay, we added our 295th member this afternoon but I had him on the reserve list for a long time. Jay Bufis of Fords, New Jersey still needs to finalize some travel plans, but right now we have him listed in Las Vegas as he becomes our 155th returning member from the 2004 event to sign up for the 2005 main event. Jay's Money Bags team finished 10th in New York League 5 last year with 64 points, but he's hoping that a move out West brings him better luck this year. Jay becomes our 132nd team in Las Vegas and our 295th team overall and we're glad he's working his schedule around us. Thanks for your trust and support, Jay, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon when we got an online signup for the NFBC's main event from a pair of new members to our growing NFBC family, giving us 296 members for the big event. The tag team of Richard Kidd and John Vagelatos of New York City signed up for the NFBC's main event at just the right time, becoming our 105th owner in the Big Apple for the main event. Their signup came in just as we were transferring one team from New York to Las Vegas, giving us 133 at the Rio and a perfect 105 in New York. Richard and John are new to our high-stakes events and we welcome them aboard with open arms...and with a free Pete Rose baseball going out to one of them! :D Thanks for your trust and support, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
